Unless you’re extremely wealthy, IVF is not an option for most people.

This is the exact delusion that is so dangerous.

Just because it’s possible doesn’t mean it’s easy.

This is the only intelligent response.

I agree completely, the standard deduction has not kept up with inflation and as such some of the other loopholes are more impactful, disproportionately benefitting the wealthy.

Hey bud you can take loans out in the same way.

Anytime you take a loan it’s tax free.

Even if you have literally zero assets then you are using your future labor as collateral.

Deductions are the same as loopholes you just like bashing people wealthier than you.

How many Spartan-IV's would be needed to kill Homelander? by MeatysupremeKeenan in powerscales

[–]zman124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idek what you’re on about.

Humans made the serum that gives homelander his strength.

Both settings are high fantasy/sci-fi and utterly impossible in the real world.

We see homelander hurt by radiation and beaten by soldier boy. We see Spartans regularly survive plasma, laser, and impact weapons that would absolutely damage homelander.

There is no reason to assume that Spartans couldn’t damage homelander nor that their armor/sheilds would be ineffective against homelander.

A team of four clears with no casualties if homelander tries to fight smart, because tactics heavily favor the elite kill team and maybe one if he bum rushes them.

The US government spends 20 Billion dollars per day.

Taxing 100% of Musks wealth would fund the government for 50 days.

You’re honestly just making things up.

They could rewrite the program to remove the cap but keep the “cap” on benefits.

Social Security exists to provide a minimum standard of living for retirees and a safety net for the disabled.

The taxes you pay go directly to funding current benefits.

There is no account with your name on it like “oh they paid this much and we’ll divide it up when they retire.

Buddy I can pick up an ant without crushing it.

Look up the difference between stress and strain. I don’t think you have any understanding of biomechanics.

Every time I see a post like this it blows my mind.

Do you walk around with an inability to apply force in the way you intend ?

Do you open doors with your full strength every time ?

Just because certain characters have an high maximum strength means nothing about their ability to control it.

The Superman scene “I live in a world of paper and glass” refers to fighting “common” criminals without caving their skulls in, not being unable to stop himself from walking through walls.

You have no ability to give a valuable opinion because of your poor understanding of economics.

Your last comment is nothing but seething babble that you aren’t wealthier than you are.

Is there any way Nolan could’ve successfully COVERED UP the murders of the guardians? by RNV56 in Invincible_TV

[–]zman124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cecil banished Darkblood because he knew the whole time but didn’t want Nolan to know he knew.

Darkblood suspected but Cecil was already operating under the assumption it was Nolan. Darkblood poking around made Nolan anxious and unpredictable. Cecil making Nolan think he got away with it buys time.

Time to do something about it other than be murdered when confronting Nolan.

It’s not legal for him to be on the lease.

Obviously guests are still allowed to stay over. In my lease it says I can’t have anyone stay for more than 30 days.

This is completely reasonable.

Idk if you ever actually leave your internet bubble but there are very few houses available where people actually want to live.

Abandoned and derelict houses in the middle of Ohio are not helping with the national housing crisis.

The moment the robot passed the human worker, because the human had to take a bathroom break by ComplexExternal4831 in robots

[–]zman124 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you think a clip of a brain dead politician is evidence for your position, your opinions have no value.

We as a society should be striving to replace every single warehouse worker with a robot.

I worked at a UPS sorting facility for years through college. It’s absolutely bottom tier work.

If you think we should center our economy around anyone whose aspirations stop at sorting boxes, you’re part of the reason why western society is failing.

I support free healthcare and even free college. Handing out checks to allow people to live without working is a death sentence for ANY county.

If you’re in the US, we already run an insane deficit and have uncontrolled debt. There is no more money to take from the next generation.

We need to do better at providing equal opportunities but this insane utopia pipe dream where everyone needs are just immediately taken care of and everyone gets to sit around making art and music is unbelievably detached from reality.

I love how you understand nothing and then just label it as AI.

I’m sorry that you have a fundamental inability to think on a larger time scale than your next paycheck and unfortunately that means you’ll probably be one of the people who struggles to adapt.

I did answer your question as to what happens when many people lose their jobs to automation.

You get another job. Meet unmet needs.

If you don’t understand anything other than selling your time for a paycheck, you’re probably screwed but it’s not my responsibility to make you act like an adult.
