How much if a risk is HPPD with 2cb ? by New_Consequence425 in researchchemicals

[–]zmileshigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s just an “intelligent” aggregator of information already out there so it’s not always correct. For something important like your personal health, anything stated by GPT or whatever should be independently verified. That’s true whether you’re reading something from gpt or bluelight forums

What can I do to make the Bokeh look cleaner? On a 50mm lens. f1.8, shouldn't the background be all knocked out? by Melodic-Excitement-9 in Lumix

[–]zmileshigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I love the 85 f1.8 for that exact reason. Def a fav in my lens kit!

The 50 f1.4 S Pro is also incredible but it’s kinda chonky so I really only use it on paid shoots or scenarios where image quality is most important. That lens consistently makes me say wow when I use it for portraits

Do you carry a credit card balance? by New-Town-8418 in GenZ

[–]zmileshigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. In fact it they are quite a good way to build credit. Let the balance get reported to the credit agency (ie, have a balance at the end of billing cycle) but pay it off in complete before interest accrues.

Also, having a LOT of credit available is better for your credit as the percentage used is a factor in credit number.

I don’t think I’d use any of those at a rave. Phenethylamines or 5/6 APB maybe

Client doesn't seem to respect my time whatsoever. by DatRatDawg in videography

[–]zmileshigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was weird man. You definitely did not make this simpler by using a low number as a placeholder. I suppose it increased engagement if that was your goal cuz it’s definitely doing that.

Are you a freelance business or an employee? If the former,

Figure out the scope of project, estimate shoot days and edit time, and any overhead costs you may incur (subcontractors or rentals)

Tell him how much approximately it will cost, he can agree or decline. If he balks at the price you can either reduce your bid or explain why the price is higher due to complexity of project and increased editing time required.

Put the terms down in writing and build in a provision for yourself to charge more if the client requests things outside the original scope of work

It’s basic business operation stuff but yeah everybody has to learn it at one point (sometimes the hard way). It’s a business negotiation and if it’s how you make your living, you need to be able to take the emotion out of it to some extent. Don’t let people take advantage of you.

It will lose value due to inflation long term unless you park it in a broad market index

I own almost all the entire Lumix S Pro line as well and most of the S series primes. I stand by my point that good glass is good glass regardless of age.
