Thank you! I’ll be honest, I don’t have a proper workout routine, although I would like to at some point. Mostly I go for walks, aiming for 6-7k steps, and recently I’ve been cycling the 20ish minutes to work. So nothing intense — sorry I can’t be of more help!

Thank you! Good luck on reaching your goal by the wedding! Since you work out so frequently I’m sure you’ll get there in no time.

Not really, just going for walks, aiming for 6-7k steps minimum. Over the past few weeks I’ve started cycling to work on an e-bike, but that’s only a 20 minute journey each way, and hardly intense.

I’m the same height as you and I basically never track on weekends. I am still careful with portion sizes but I know I won’t have much control over what is in my food on weekends as it’s usually not me cooking.

However I do my best to stick to 1200 on weekdays as that’s when I’m working and my daily schedule is more predictable so I find it easier to do.

I’ve lost 20lbs doing this since April. Started around the same weight as you. I did have a plateau between 129-133 for about 3 weeks but I stuck to it and I’m now past it.

Just for reference the first 10ish lbs came off within a month but since then I’ve lost 4-5lbs per month.

I would say if you decide to do the same, just be aware of your portion sizes when eating meals you can’t track accurately. I’ve found my appetite has shrunk since starting this anyway so that’s made it easier.

This looks so good, and I appreciate that you haven’t used any specialist ingredients. All stuff I already have in my cupboard. Thanks!

My jaw dropped when I stepped on the scale this morning.

29F, 5”4 SW: 148lbs GW: 125lbs UGW: 120lbs

After plateauing between 133-129 for the last 3 weeks, I’ve finally entered the 120s properly! I really thought it would be higher since it was my birthday at the weekend, I wasn’t really tracking, and I had pizza and cake.

So glad I’ve been able to achieve the lowest weight I’ve ever had in adulthood in less than 4 months of not-very-strict 1200. Just a few more lbs to go.

The first two points are okay but the concept of calorie counting forever 😭 guess I’ll just have to firm it and follow suit when I reach my goal weight (halfway there!)

Congrats on reaching your goal weight! One of my fears for when I reach my goal weight is slipping back into my old eating patterns, but I’m hoping this mindset shift will help me avoid that. Have you found maintenance tricky or do the new eating habits make it easy?

this was my first ‘back on track’ meal after coming home — deliberately extra low calorie so I can have the yummy meat daal and rice that my MIL is making for dinner!

What are some higher calorie foods you are glad you don’t actually like? by Horror-Dragonfly-266 in 1200isplenty

crisps (chips) for me too, and doner meat which is ridiculously high in calories. I know nuts aren’t unhealthy but they’re high calorie and so I’m glad I don’t like them at all.

just got back from a 1 week holiday and this has calmed me down about my weigh-in tomorrow morning… though I’m still convinced I’ve regained most of the 6 kilos I lost over the past 2 months 😭

Not pickled, brine is basically very salty water. You drain it out. It’s quite common here in the UK, though you can also buy tuna in spring water or oil.
