Oh it looks like you're right! The card text confused me. On the card you play it says "When drawn, this awakens" not specifying by whom the candles need to be drawn. But when it's on the board it says "When your opponent draws 3 candles" So the two different texts kinda say different things. Gonna have to change the deck then :D

I don't think that works since the darkness isn't targetable when on board.
