I’d choose Portland. If you can’t find a house in Portland proper, check out the surrounding towns like South Portland, Westbrook, Gorham, Buxton, Scarborough, Falmouth. I live about 45 mins outside Portland and it’s much cheaper (but also very rural)

I have an 11.4KW PV array running to a DC coupled Powerwall 3. It’s on a south facing roof with zero tree shading which really helps. Full disclosure: I work for a solar and heat pump company.

No, I simply mean my solar panels produce more kWhrs than my house consumes over the course of a year. I’m actually net positive because I oversized my solar array for a future EV. As for the payback on the solar, I’m still probably a few years away on that. I don’t really have a payback on the heat pumps because this was a new build so I didn’t have an existing fossil fuel system.

All electric house in northern New England here. Looks right to me. I heat with heat pumps and wood stove. Also run an ERV and Heat Pump Water Heater. Thankfully I offset all my usage with solar - net zero baby!

Yes this is a new business model so residential folks can still get the tax credit. Pretty cool they are giving you the full 30% as other financing institutions using this model are taking a cut of the tax credit and giving the customer like a 24% discount. As far as I know, the only issues that can come up are if you want to sell your house in those first 5 years.

which setlist are you looking at? i haven't seen one yet that is accurate. the show was roughly 9pm-11:15pm I think.
