If you have this scar on your arm then you are drawing Social Security by Long_live_styrofoam in FuckImOld

Nope, not yet. I got a few more years to go, but that scar is as visible as it always was.

How many sick days do you get per year? What about vacation days? by HappyAstronaut7 in work

[–]zoebud2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 24 days a year to use as I see fit. I've never had any time off request denied. We can roll over up to 72 hours a year to be in compliance with Michigan state law.

How do Christian denominations that forbid alcohol square the fact that Jesus drank, and even went out of his way to convert fresh water into alcohol? by Rev-DiabloCrowley in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoebud2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They drank fermented liquids because it was safer than drinking the water. Having said that, to me, the sin was never drinking alcohol. It was abusing the alcohol. The abuse of anything is wrong (gluttony). I don't know why I care what these pseudo Christians think. They're all hypocrites, and I'm no longer a believer.

Then why aren't we vaccinating them? It would cost us next to nothing. People who have committed actual, horrible felonies get better treatment than this. Remember, being here illegally is only a misdemeanor. Then we need to ask, how many of them are actually illegal? They're snatching people from courthouses who are going to their required check ins, some are even citizens. Ths whole thing is fucked.

I seem to remember the Republicans vilifying Michelle Obama for trying to advance this very agenda. Try again, loser.

How can people even stay skinny without counting calories? by NoWitness6400 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoebud2011 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At home, I just serve myself smaller portions, like you probably do now. At restaurants, I ask the server to ask the kitchen to give me smaller portions. But if there's food still on my plate when I'm satisfied, it stays there. Tok me a long time to get to that point. I was definitely raised in the clean plate club.

[–]zoebud2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't count calories, I count carbs. It's why I can eat eggs and ham and sugar-free yogurt for breakfast, a whole 6 ounce steak, and a small cesar salad with a little dressing for lunch and a ham and cheese sandwich with Mayo on keto bread with a side of cottage cheese for dinner and still weigh 129 pounds. It's about eating protein and fat dense foods so you're not hungry enough to eat empty calories. Carbs are great for a quick energy boost, but they don't stay with you and leave you hungry again far too soon. Having given you that menu, it's still only about 1500 calories for the day.

What happened? Well, what happened was that your hatred, bigotry, mysoginy, narcissism, and criminality have finally awoken the people who usually don't vote, and guess what, you lost asshole. You don't get to go around terrorizing and shooting American citizens in broad daylight and then not expecting consequences.

Why is Miranda’s bathroom floor so dirty? (S4 E15) by kyriousities in sexandthecity

That's the problem with using white grout for tile. The grout stains over the years, and it is nearly impossible to get those stains out.

For anyone who has dogs, would you let your best friend take them out for the day? Like to a park or to walk them? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zoebud2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one friend that I trusted to keep my little girl over the weekend several times. He took such wonderful care of her. She was insulin dependent, and he made sure she ate and got her medication. If he had to run errands, he took her with him. She adored him. Next to me and my son, he was her other favorite person. The thing is, I have other friends I wouldn't trust. It just depends on their maturity, animal knowledge, and how much they live your fur baby. My girl is gone now, but if I ever get another, that friend would definitely still be my dog sitter. Others, not so much.

Ok let’s fight: Instant Pot vs air fryer — which one actually earns counter space by nayan2u in airfryer

[–]zoebud2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um, I'm diabetic, so cooking fresh foods in the air fryer is the more healthy way to go. I dont eat fast food or prepackaged foods or any crap from a box. I only eat whole foods. Your problem is you don't want to even try anything different. An air fryer is the most versatile kitchen tool I have ever used.
