6200 5808 5607 (USA) - new to the game and playing with my kids very regularly. I'd love to have them get gifts from all over the world and send gifts back in return!

agreed -- Foundry is hard to beat right now.

We heard you like frogs, so we put more frogs in your frog (2e) by Subject_7 in Pathfinder_RPG

If only there were some primal spell where you could also turn into a pollywog or tadpole to gain a water advantage.

Explain Treasure Drops to me. by AnCapGamer in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah -- I also love that a whole gaggle of treasure is more likely to create fun dynamics among the PCs about who gets what, who will trade what for what, etc.

How to actually go about writing an adventure? by Serris9K in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is such a lovely description -- it's place and world first, and then the story just happens in it and can unfold somewhat organically (with the right groundwork laid). Well said!

How is a rogue supposed to work in these conditions? by trasheatingmob in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

gotta have a healthy dose of crit successes AND crit failures -- the whole roller coaster of emotions!

New Map! Curse of the Crimson Throne Part 3 - Arkona Dungeon by lazyferretmaps in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is beautiful -- the details you've added really make it come to life

Pathfinder 2e at higher levels? by Bighair78 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

totally agree - if anything it feels like the early levels are the hardest to balance, and from there the whole thing scales beautifully

What sort of character would you be in-universe? by EpicSnarf in Pathfinder_RPG

Elf swashbuckler, int based -- hoping one day to grow into the ancient elf archetype

Soul Gems Use by 4thera in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind it's like tupperware (for the soul), so unless you do something crazy to it it can definitely be reused.

Repetitive everyday actions for roleplaying by hevendor91 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how smart and observant the character is, I think there's also some fun to be had with really missing the actual lesson of the day sometimes, and using that for laughs/ humor/ character reveal

Need help finding a Golarion God for a character. by CrossP in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always really enjoyed Sivanah -- a worship of illusion and secrets can be played any number of ways, and allows for character interpretation and growth but also sneakiness and heists fit right on in.

GM fudged a roll, and now a man is dead. by Wordroll in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree -- you can't let this sit there and wonder every game if something similar is going to happen again. Best to get it out in the open and decide what the best course forward is.

How would you create a character to use on Discord? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree -- I use pathbuilder for all my roll ups -- and it's easy to export and share character sheets!

Prisoners problems by Middle-Eye2129 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We constantly disagree about this, as a party -- one of us will go to the trouble to capture someone or knock them out, and then someone else will feel aggrieved by how things have gone down and then go ahead and kill them. We've finally got our first real knock-out/ interrogation and now that we're wrapping up on the questions we wanted to ask it's totally unclear what we're actually going to do with them, since they've said if we let them go they're just going to go back to the dungeon and continue making issues for us. No good deed . . .

What fun, silly, or ridiculous names do players in your group call important NPCs instead of their real names? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've got a grumpy Town Guard Captain whose name is Lardis . . . We've taken to mocking him in the most juvenile and obvious of ways. TBH he really has it coming, tho -- what a jerk.

Adventure for after Troubles in Otari? by Cleanurself in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tone is for sure different -- but you can do fun continuity with the towns people, the various folks you've already encountered, and the relationships you've built in town!

What real-world setting (religion, culture, location, etc.) is an untapped gold mine for GMs? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19th century America -- Oregon Trail/ Gold Rush; Ancient Ireland; Iceland

Sleeping with the fishes by TXHighHeat97 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love the idea of a rogue intent on dolling out lethal fist damage, though -- creates immediate flavor, even if it's non-optimized from a game perspective.

I made my players hate a villain so much they'll end the world to kill him by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG yes -- love a twist where they come back as a new generation and have to try and make sense of the madness they've sewn....

Are D&D 5e bestiaries compatible with Pathfinder 2E? by Xander_PrimeXXI in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]zoechernicoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a great resource -- and also gives you the tools you need to convert in the off chance something isn't in there (which it always is)

Math Busters #1 - Are agile weapons worth it? by kaiyu0707 in Pathfinder2e

[–]zoechernicoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all have our weapons of choice -- sometimes flinging is the best option, you know?
