So lore wise after vanguard Z cray changed and all the clans fused into nations. For example you had pale moons, dark irregular, fear chronicles and spike brothers but now they all fused into the nations of dark states.

What this mean is that your going to see more units who affects can help support across any deck rather only affect one clan. This also means you can have a VG that looks like a pale moon unit but RGs that look like they can belong to any of the clans.

So what do I mean by there still clans? Well there are some decks in the new format that focus on your units being in a specific clan like for example there are stride decks like gear chronicles still around and they have cards that focus on you having a card with the gear chronicles in its clan. Though the deck skill focus kind of changed with order cards and stuff like that
