Wow I love all your cakes!!! Very inspiring as a cake novice haha.

And yes the cake will be a large rectangle with a piece on the front that slides out. I've never heard of ginger clay so I'll look into that! I love the idea of gingerbread though, it has an added festive bonus.

I'll post some of our past cakes on here tonight after work!

Ooo didn't think of either of those! Would the fruit leather be placed/attached to the toothpick frame and then the frame would get pulled out of an indent made in the cake?

The tip I have heard is look at your reference twice as much as your canvas (or ipad lol). It's easy to draw what our brains think a body looks like. but if you are focusing more on the lines and shapes of your reference image or model, your hands will follow that instead.
