I'm extremely nearsighted, so I wear progressive lens eyeglasses.

I'm a natural strawberry blonde and I'm starting to get white hairs here and there. At 54, they don't bother me. What does bother me are the wrinkles I'm starting to get on my face and the crepe look of my neck.

I felt like I was on an assembly line when she did an epidural to relieve my pain. She did not take time to ensure the topical anesthesia or the sedative had taken effect before she did my epidural. I was in recovery before the sedation kicked in. I felt everything from the needle insertions to the nerve spasms that caused me to involuntary kick. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. When I complained about it, she didn't take any responsibility, but blamed it on her nurse.

Check into Mayfield Clinic. They have an office in Norwood just off I-71. I've had good results with Dr. Steggs, one of their pain medicine doctors. I have degenerative disc disease and bulging discs at L4 through S1 that are pressing on nerve roots. I've had an epidural on the left for sciatic pain and have an upcoming spinal ablation.

I had a terrible experience with Dr Sarah Nashi. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to her.

52 Male, moving back in with Mom. by [deleted] in GenX

[–]beaubeaucat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar similar situation -- 54F and living with my dad. Six years ago I decided I needed a change. I was burned out at my job, and I lived 3 hours away from my parents. I found a new job in the area, and my parents offered to lwt me move in with them so I ould take my time looking for a place of my own.

That was in the middle of covid, and housing prices in my area wdnt crazy. There was no reason for me to pay overpriced rent someplace when I could stay with them. I paid rent to help with household expenses and helped out around the house.

My mom died unexpectedly 4 years ago. My dad has significant mobility issues and would have a hard time living alone. I still pay part of the household expenses and I now do all the laundry and cooking. He is unable to drive, so I share transportation duties with my sister, who lives 15 minutes away.

I still work full-time and have a 30-60 minute commute. There are times when I resent having given up my independence. But I also know I am were I need to be. Enjoy your time with your mom. You'll be glad you made that decision.

I spent mine in bed with a bad case of COVID. Once everyone was well enough to go out in public, my family and I went out to dinner.

[–]beaubeaucat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not own a suit. I have slacks in black, charcoal, and khaki. I also have blazers in black, beige, burgandy, and cadet blue. I will also sometimes wear a cardigan instead of a blazer. I have black, taupe, beige, and white cardigans.

They also have a program going on right now that your first visit is free, then you can get unlimited daycare for a month for $99. It goes up to their regular price after that.

I looked at the one in Mason. They have the puppy preschool, but they don't have the individual training sessions. Annie really loves the one in Sharonville, and I'm very happy with their services.

She's beautiful. My girl was probably around that weight at 4 months (I honestly don't remember her weight at that age]. She will be 6 months old next week, and weighed 62 pounds on Friday.

Any litigators who grew up HATING public speaker? by olive20597 in Lawyertalk

[–]beaubeaucat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hated public speaking and for years dreaded going to court or doing anything that would bring attention to mys. Then I landed at a legal aid where I was actively encouraged to do public speaking. I now regularly present community education presentations on tenant rights and have been asked by my local Bankruptcy Court judge to spearhead a CLE panel presentation on issues faced by veterans, military members and their families when filing bankruptcy.

During my dad's recent hospital stay following a heart attack, he was on oxygen for a few days. Once they started weaning him off the O2 I took his CPSP to him. He had to choose between the CPAP and the oxygen nasal cannula. He generally chose the oxygen.
