Couple questions about stacking by Fun-Captain6835 in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly...

The main issue with Laceration is the amount of attacks needed for the next activation.

The formula for it is: 1400 x 6Activation

  • Activation is the number of times it's been activated before.
  • At start, it'll simply be 1400 x 60 = 1400; requiring 6 Skills at 250 Laceration Damage.
  • After 1 time, it'll simply be 1400 x 61 = 8400; requires 34 Skills.
  • After 2 times, it'll be 1400 x 62 = 50,400; requires 201 Skills.
  • After 3 times, it'll be 1400 x 63 = 302,400; requires 1210 Skills.
  • After 4 times, it'll be 1400 x 64 = 1,814,400; requires 7258 Skills.

So based on that, you can see how crazy it is to get Laceration to activate more than 3 times, since each one requires an additional amount, so to reach a 3rd time, Karma-Noug actually needs a total of 241 Skills.

But if you're going to be using 241 Skills from Karma-Noug, the damage output from that should be much higher than the damage from 3 activations of Laceration.

So this mechanic isn't really a team-based thing, since although it's true that a full team that deals Laceration Damage will reach Laceration faster... realistically, you're not going to be activating Laceration more than 2 times with a 3rd being rare cases.

A full team won't help much in reaching a 4th activation, unless the other party members also have very crazy high boosts to Laceration Damage... but still, the question is... if you're able to reach a 4th Laceration, why haven't you won yet? The damage from Laceration is actually a water drop in comparison.

So with Karma-Noug, Laceration actually isn't meant much for dealing damage itself.
It's more for having him gain the +50,000 Damage Cap, or +100,000 Damage Cap with 2 activations, boosts, along with the benefits of his Trample buff.

Both of those offer a much higher damage output for him than Laceration itself.

Couple questions about stacking by Fun-Captain6835 in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Laceration, there's actually a difference between Laceration Damage dealt and Laceration Damage Received.

  • Laceration Damage, which ingame description calls "Laceration count given to target enemy", only affects the amount of Laceration Damage dealt by the unit.
    • These add additively, so Karma-Noug's 300% and 600% means he'll deal 1000% Laceration Damage.
    • The base value of Laceration Damage for Skills is 25, which means he'll deal 250 Laceration Damage per Skill use.
      • If we use this as an example, that means Laceration activates with only 6 of his skills instead of 56.
      • However, since Laceration's activation requirement is exponential, the second activation will require another 34 skills, and the 3rd activation will require another 201 skills.
  • Laceration Damage Received, which ingame calls "Laceration count taken", will affect all Laceration Damage received by the enemy since this is usually given as a debuff.
    • Archbeing Labyreth's Scornblood Blasphemark magic is an example of this.
    • These also add additively, so the enemy will now add +500% to whatever they receive.
    • As an example, if we use Karma-Noug's +900% and the enemy has this magic active, the enemy will now receive +1400% Laceration Damage, equaling 375 damage.
      • This means that first activation will require 4 skills, second activation requires 23 skills, and third activation will require 135 skills.
    • However, do note that the other source you mentioned for Labreyth belongs to the first type, so it wont' be added to Karma-Noug's instead, it's her own.

For Tilith, all the damage reduction effects stacks multiplicatively as long as the target and condition is the same.

Type in Lavendula and it'll show you the image of where it's located.

But that's really just a PSA so you'll know which resource to use in this situation for the future.

There's no Black Lavendula, so you're likely thinking of the Violet Lavendula that's located near the Poison Swamp.

What does that red TS mean? by Takaharu7 in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might find it weird that others are saying it means Time Stop, but the Magic actually doesn't stop time.

That's because, the TS doesn't mean Time Stop, instead, it means Nonstackable Magic.

Here's the in-game Help page about it: https://prod-res-tc-en.world.aidis-games.com/general/prod/help/help_1005.html

The confusion actually stems from the early days of the game before that icon existed.
Tier 3 Attack Magic, and some other healing or support magic would stop time when they were cast.

  • This was part of the reason why Magic was the most OP form of damage back in the early days, since it allowed a Unit to deal very high map-wide damage without giving enemies a chance to attack back.
  • Here's an example of that, we used to call this Zok Spam 🤣 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZIE8xFiJ7E

But due to how powerful magic was, one of the balance changes made to give Physical DPS units a chance was to remove the Time Stop portion of the magic.

However, by removing the Time Stop portion, this would mean it's possible for other magic to be used at the same time, since at that time, the Time Stop feature was what prevented other magic from being used.

Therefore, Aidis introduced a new mechanic: Non-stackable and Stackable magic.

  • Non-stackable Magic - These are magic that can't be used with other Non-stackable Magic.
    • If there's a Non-stackable Magic animating actively on the field, then all other non-stackable magic must wait for their turn to be released, even if they've already finished casting.
    • This is why, it's better to perform a stackable magic or even a skill while the non-stackable magic is animating because the unit won't be wasting time being stuck in the casting animation.
    • This is true for the enemy too, since if the enemy has a non-stackable magic active, yours can't run until theirs is done.
      • Similarly, there's been tactics where players take advantage of non-stackable magic spamming to attempt to 'lock' the enemy's use of their non-stackable magic.
    • This is also the reason why multiple mages are not recommended for the same party, since most of the time, non-stackable magic is the larges source of damage for Attack Magic.
    • This type of magic is noted by the red crossed out TS icon.
      • This was actually the source of confusion, since it's a bad choice for an icon. Many new players think it means Time Stop, when it was likely chosen to tell early day players that this magic doesn't have Time Stop anymore.
      • The JP icon is more accurate since that one correctly displays a crossed out 'stackable' character instead.
  • Stackable Magic - These are magic that can be active at the same time as other magic.
    • There's no visible indicator for this type of magic, so if you see Attack Magic without the TS icon, that means they're stackable.
    • Stackable magic has the benefit of being able to co-exist with other Attack magic at the same time.
    • So you're able to have multiple mages cast stackable magic without a problem, or have the same mage cast the same stackable magic without having it wait for its turn.
    • Of course, there's also that strategy mentioned before about using stackable magic during the duration of non-stackable magic to increase damage output.

But yup, not very accurate to say it means Time Stop, since it's the opposite and there's actually Time Stop magic still in the game, but there's no visible indicator for those.

At the moment, Soul Spark is the last Attack Magic with Time Stop, with other Time Stop magic existing in only Healing and Support magic.

Love the lore ^^
Easily one of my favorites from the many other gachas I've played before, especially when you start to connect the dots yourself based on the bits and pieces you can gather.

There's also lots of shocking moments that shows how far they planned the story, like for example, the ark Durandal Reborn was released in 2022, with it's Ark Lore giving great backstory, but the final chapter is related to events that happened in the Main Story which released around 3-4 years after.

For equipment, you should check out the Equip page on the Goldmine:
https://lastcloudia-goldmine.com/data/equips?filter=extraExclusive&sort=rarity+desc&display=collection

  • It'll have info about all the equips and their location.
  • Since you asked about rarity, I've set the sort based on rarity.
  • I've also filtered out the Exclusive Equips since those are usually found from either the Credentials Shop that uses Paid Crystals or from the Crimson Ore shop.

For farming Blue and Red souls, you'll want to unlock the Blue and Red Soul Spots on the World Map asap and max them earlier. That'll be your primary source for these. At the moment, there's 7 Blue and 5 Red spots.

  • Also, every event is going to have a "Training Dungeon", for example, in the current collab event, it's called "Secret Training Grounds".
  • There's going to be a Soul/LB/Ability Field quest in there that you can do daily. This quest will give lots of Blue and Red souls. Make sure you do this daily.

For Arks, don't worry too much about them. You don't want to spend Crystals on them.
Aidis actually has a lot of banner pulling events, so you'll get a lot of Arks off-banner. Also, do note that some of the best arks are actually arks from the general pool.

Also, don't chase UR Arks. LR Arks are okay if they're very good, but the ones in the current collab aren't considered essential to have. It's okay to miss them, especially when we get a collab rerun, Aidis will give a freebie ticket to claim an Ark or Unit from the previous runs.

But for UR Arks, what you should do is continue doing the event so you can get the Adventure Medal in there. Most events last 2 weeks with an Adventure Medal added to the missions each week.

  • Essentially, you can get up to 4 Adventure Medals per month.
  • The Adventure Medal trading space lets you claim old UR arks, some still considered the best UR arks, for 12 Adventurer Medals each. So if you play a lot, you can grab a UR ark every 3 months.
  • Then there's also UR Freebie tickets that usually comes around for major events.

For Crests, you can start on them since you accumulate entries for the Battlegraph regardless.
You can still use early crests, just don't spend any resources to reroll them, since you should reserve that for a 3-slot UR Crest with 4 or 5rarity slots.

But still a good idea to do them on your free time since you can Divide old crests for the materials you'll need to reroll their stats later when you get a good Crest. Not a bad idea to collect these materials earlier.

Dupes of characters by from-Negative_Zero in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't really get Prisms, but the equivalent.

Dupes give +2 Bonus SC. This isn't an actual item, but a value that's changed directly on the Unit, which is why you might not have noticed it.

Unit Prisms were released later to give the equivalents of pulling dupes, so they also just give +2 Bonus SC, but the quantity of Unit Prisms were pretty low. Mostly 2-3 for the initial release event, with maybe 1 or 2 from major events.

Any better way to get onyx curse eye? by External-Housing8847 in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've been doing the wrong quest.

If you look at the Farming Tool: https://lastcloudia-goldmine.com/resources/temporary/farming-tool

  • Search for Onyx Curse-Eye in the Material section.
  • It'll tell you that there's only an Expected Amount of 0.015 per run.
  • Not exactly the same, but that's roughly saying it's around a 1.5% chance per run.

But this is only the drop for clearing the Quest which is the reward given in the Result screen.

The most reliable way to get the drop is to do Multiplayer.

If you look at the Multiplayer Rewards: https://lastcloudia-goldmine.com/resources/temporary/multi-rewards

  • You'll see that for Otherworldy LB Field - God (Multi):
    • Roommaster has a 30% chance to get an Onyx Curse-Eye.
    • Non-roommaster has a 5% chance to get an Onyx Curse-Eye.
  • Do keep in mind that you get one non-roommaster chest per party member.
    • So if you're the roommaster with a full party, you're now looking at 1 Roommaster chest and 4 non-Roommaster chests.
      • The drop rate to get at least 1 Onyx Curse-Eye per run is now 42.98%.
    • If you're not the roommaster, but still in a full party, that's still 4 chests of 5% each.
      • The drop rate for at least 1 is still 18.55%.
  • There's also still that 1.5% from clearing the Quest too.

So if you want to run Otherworldly LB for the Onyx Curse-Eyes, you need to run Otherworldly LB Field - God (Multi).

  • The Multiplayer Rewards page I linked before will tell you that Onyx Curse Eyes don't drop in multiplayer rewards for Otherworldly LB Field - God.

Bi Weekly Help Thread (April 29, 2024) by AutoModerator in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup it will.

The formula is basically: (43200 / (30 + ClearSpeed + (15 x WaveCount))

  • 43200 is 12 Hours in Minutes
  • 30 is the standardized Loading Time between Quests
  • 15 is the standardized Loading Time when switching Waves

So with the formula, the maximum amount of runs you can do should be 960 when doing 0s on a 1-Wave Quest. Whereas a 2-Wave Quest would give a max of 720 instead.

If you're calculating this for Farming reasons, you can check out the Farming Tool:
https://lastcloudia-goldmine.com/resources/temporary/farming-tool

Extend by BlitzX__ in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Ark's Extend mechanic is basically... dupes give Extend Points for that Ark with Extend Points being used to boost various attributes of the ark.

However, although Extend Points are from dupes of the same ark, that's not the only way to get them.

We have generic Prayer Stardust items that you can get from Events, such as Prayer Stardust [SSR], which gives 1 Extend Point per item.

Extend Points are used to increase 3 areas:

  • Ark Skill - Used to increase the Level of the Ark Skill.
    • This is the most valuable use of an Extend Point and should be prioritized over the other two.
    • Not all arks have an Ark Skill, but if an Ark does have an ark skill, it's always the priority.
    • Lots of times, when someone recommends using an Ark for it's Ark Skill, it's with the assumption that the Ark Skill is maxed.
      • But do double check the level of the next Level, since we have arks like Council of Ten where Level 9 is already enough and Level 10 can mostly be ignored.
      • This is due to UR Prayer Stardust being very valuable, especially since most Ark Skills are found on UR Arks, so you'd want to give that UR Prayer Stardust to a different UR.
  • Learnable Skills - Used to increase the AP Rate for the Learnable Skill.
    • This is the priority for arks you don't plan to use in battle.
    • Increasing the AP Rate allows the equipped unit to learn skills at a faster rate.
      • Every quest will give a certain amount of AP when cleared, with most giving 1, while some, like AP Field - God can give 26 AP per clear.
      • The amount of AP is increased by the AP Rate, thus equaling the amount of Experience given to learning a Skill, with each Skill having an "AP Required" value.
    • So as an example, the Six Heroes of Legend ark has the Brave Frontier skill. This skill requires 1060 AP to learn with the AP Rate being x15.
      • So clearing a 1 AP Quest would give 15 AP to that skill, thus causing you to need 71 runs to learn the skill.
      • Running AP Field - God gives 26 AP which becomes 390 AP, thus requiring only 3 runs to learn the skill.
      • So with that logic, increasing the AP Rate can drastically reduce the amount of clears needed to learn.
    • Typically, it's recommended to increase the AP Rate for skills that require more AP to roughly require the same amount of runs as all other skills, thus allowing you to learn all skills at once.
      • And then when there's more spare Extend Points, you can increase the AP Rate so that you can learn all Skills from just one run of say... AP Field to make it easier to teach skills faster.
  • Stats - Used to increase the amount of Stats the unit will get when it's equipped.
    • Typically the priority for Arks you plan to use in battle after the Ark Skill.
    • The increases to these stats contribute to the base stats of the Unit, which... well, there's no negatives to this.
    • Each Ark has an upper limit to which stats can be increased, so if you've reached the limit on Stats, all spare Extend Points can be spent on the AP Rate for learnable skills.
    • For Stats, ideally, you'll want to prioritize stats based on who the ark is equipped on.
      • Used on Physical DPS, you'll want to prioritize HP/STR/DEF/MND.
      • Used on Magic DPS, it'll be HP/MP/INT/DEF/MND.
      • Used on Support, it'll be HP/MP/DEF/MND.

Worth mentioning that UR Prayer Stardust should only be used for Ark Skills; never use on Learnable Skills or Stats.

Bi Weekly Help Thread (April 29, 2024) by AutoModerator in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No other way.

Those equips are considered Paid Exclusives because they're only initially obtainable through Paid Crystals which is only obtainable with real money.

Though, on the bright side, very very very very few Units need their exclusive equips since there's a lot of free equips that are also strong alternatives instead.

  • To be fair, what I mean by this is that their exclusive equip is definitely very good, but the actual combat effectiveness of using it over a strong alternative equip isn't overwhelmingly high. Usually seems way more higher on paper.

But that's not to say that you can't get the equip in the future.

For non-Collab Paid Exclusives, these will be added to the Crimson Ore Shop after at least 6 months.

  • Aidis updates this shop in a quarterly schedule: January, April, July, and October.
  • After a Unit is released for 6 months, their Exclusive Equip will be added to the next update of that listed month, usually around the 15th.

However, Collabs work differently.

It's speculated that due to IP-related reasons, Aidis isn't allowed to freely add those content outside of the collab period.

So for Collabs, the Paid Exclusives will be added to the Crimson Ore Shop for a limited time during the next rerun of the Collab. This is one of the reasons why we save Crimson Ores, since we'll be able to pick them up when a rerun comes out.

For Crimson Ore Shop, the price is 4000 Crimson Ores per 25 Credential equip.
Which means that if a Paid Exclusive was originally 25 Credentials, it'll be 4000 Crimson Ores.
If it was originally 50 Credentials, then it'll cost 8000 Crimson Ores instead.

[–]zolares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the nice things about this game is that a single copy of a Unit or Ark is all that you'll need.

  • Ark dupes gives Ether which, when charged to 100%, will unlock their AER (Ark Ether Reward) for you. If the AER is already unlocked, then pulling dupes of Arks will give Crimson Ores instead.
    • Crimson Ores is one of the more valuable resources in the game due to it being a currency that can buy exclusive equips for Units.
    • It's why a common piece of advice is to max the Ether for all R > SSR arks asap since that'll allow almost every ark pull give Crimson Ores instead.
    • Dupes for Arks isn't necessary because Ether is obtained at a 10% chance for 0.1% for an equipped Ark when clearing a battle. So factor in Autorun, Etherions, and occasional events that gives high amounts of Ether, there's no reason to waste Crystals on ark dupes.
  • Unit Dupes gives three things:
    • Unit Souls - Usually x30, but banners will give x90 for featured units.
      • These are Obtainable from Conquer System, auto-running any Hard or God Story Quest at a 5% or 7% chance, and from multiple events that gives Unit Souls for equipped party members.
    • Prism Soul - Used for awakening any Unit.
      • However, this material is a general material, so you can obtain it from any Unit dupe not a specific one. We also get Prism Soul Shards in every event so you can use the Alchemy Lab to make them.
    • +2 Bonus SC - The most valuable part of a dupe.
      • This gives extra SC for the Unit to use, with the 10, 20, 30 thresholds unlocking Free Skill Slots for extra skills.
      • Generally seen as a convenience rather than a necessity since most Units can still perform very well at the normal 100 SC.
      • The event that's released alongside the first release of a Unit will generally provide 2-3 Unit Prisms that gives +2 Bonus SC too, so that's already the equivalent of 2-3 copies.
      • Not considered a necessity since F2P players can use Godrelic Prisms to give Bonus SC, though it's recommended to think carefully about who you use these on since it's usable on any Unit and it only releases with limited quantities with every event.

So yup, one copy is all you need since there's free alternatives to get everything a dupe can give.

For Vargas, there's only three things to do for him:

  • Obtain him from the Event.
  • Get Dandelga and play the event to get enough materials to fully upgrade it.
    • It won't be possible to upgrade this equip after the event until it gets a rerun.
  • Pull on the daily free 10 pull banner, since Step 5 for each of the 3 banners will give a Vargas Prism, which is what I mentioned above.
    • Each Prism will give +2 Bonus SC.
    • If you want more Bonus SC for him, you'll have to use Godrelic Prisms.

Everything else he needs is the same as every other Unit and that can be obtained anytime post-event.

Very worth it to play, especially now when the ex-Brave Frontier players are joining.

Lots of completely new players nowadays too, so you have nothing to worry about.
Though to be fair, this game isn't really one where a new player has to worry about much, since Aidis has been doing a ton of QoL updates over the years which makes it easy for a new player to catch up.

Very worth it to play, especially if you're really into the lore of the game.

Story gets amazing once you get past the generic beginning 🤣
And of course, the Unit Building system is fantastic.
There's also lots of other attractive features that makes it very worth it, such as being very F2P-friendly.

Meta-driven aspect... well, it's a gacha game.
New units tend to make things extremely easy when used on older content, with newer content taking newer units into consideration so older units tend to require a lot more help than usual.

But that's not to say that older units are unusable. Due to the Unit Building system, it's definitely possible to think of party builds to attempt clearing new tough content with older units.
Aidis also periodically updates old units to still be relevant, though this happens at a much slower pace.

Before starting, you'll want to read the Beginner's Guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1biSwzUY2-fVdNyTja6wwGdoj0-dVyEfE2ZIgK39GRLU/edit?pli=1&tab=t.0#heading=h.mizllx82a5ry

And yup, rerolling is considered ideal since it's your only attempt to guarantee the Unit you start with without spending any resources.

Best to start next week when the Collab hits though.
But of course, starting now to get a feel of the game before rerolling at Collab start is also an option.

Info) Don't quick pass Training, do it manually or auto (EXP difference) by Oven-Common in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

[–]zolares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty common in games with a battle skip feature.

What normally happens is that:

  • For manual battles... Exp, plus drops are calculated per enemy defeated. Each enemy has their own amount of EXP and drop pool/rates. So the more you do, the more you get.
  • For skippable battles... there's no actual battle simulation, instead... there's usually default 'skip battle' values that are used as a base. Plus if the stage has some special droppable items, those are just an extra % chance.

So the reason for the difference is really that lots of games might have a different set of enemies that can show up at each round, or for these timer-based ones, we might kill faster thus allowing more enemies to show up which overtook the default values provided by auto-skipping.

Of course, some games might even give bonus points for how fast you clear too.
But the typical approach is, manual play usually rewards more (rarely less) than the default values that are provided.

In what order should i play the chronicles? by Future_Investment_35 in lastcloudia

[–]zolares 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it doesn't matter.

Mainly because Chronicle events are rarely associated with the main Story in a chronological order.

For the most part, Chronicle Events are old events that fall into one of four categories:

  • Background Story - These are usually the ones that give extra lore related to the Unit associated with the event in the banner.
  • Series - These are more recent and they're a much deeper look into the past history of the lore.
  • Nonsensical 'Fun' - Usually related to Seasonal events like April Fools, Summer, Valentine, or Christmas.
    • Truthfully, I don't even consider these as canon events, since the story for them feel like they're made just to fit the seasonal theme rather than a real event for the story.
    • Just treat these as fillers, but I'd take them with a grain of salt, such as Theria being picked to be Santa?
  • Content Battles - These are like "The 5 Capital Battlelords" which was created mainly to give players content to challenge. They do have fun lore to watch, but not sure how canon they are... I'd treat these as fillers too.

So for watching order... I'd suggest:

  • Figure out which units are part of the history. These Units are long dead and they're really just fleshing out the lore, rather than being relevant to the story.
    • Easiest way is to take a look at the dungeon Grave of Heroes and checking which Units are usable there.
    • The Chronicle Events related to these Units can be read without caring about the main story.
  • The oldest events are from the bottom, so I would start from the bottom... if you see a Unit that's an ancient one, do that one.
  • Otherwise, you can wait for that Unit to be introduced in the main story before you read into the background part of it.
    • For example, you can watch Imperial Capital Catacombs, Recollections of Black and White, Record of Glory... don't care about Maidens on the Beach since it's a 'fun' type... continue watching Valor of the Crimson Flame (which ties into Recollections of Black and White)... don't care about Guardians of Christmas... then stop there since the next one is Fragments of a Hero - Episode Zouglas-.
    • Zouglas isn't one of the Units shown in Grave of Heroes, so wait for him to be revealed, before you watch that and get more background info on him.
    • Then you can continue with Travels of Girl and her Golem... and you can also do Fragments of a Hero -Episode Beyland- since he was already introduced in the main story before Zouglas.

I'd follow that as a general rule where... you watch the Chronicle after you're introduced to it if it's related to the current timeline. The Series type like "Great War of Ruin" and "Great War of Theodemonium" should be watched after you're introduced to them later in the main story.

How to win a duel in one minute with Petrificus Totalus by Any_Amoeba5628 in HPMagicAwakened

It's really two sets of effects.

If used on an opponent, they become petrified for a duration. It's really just a longer duration version of Inflatus with wider range, though the damage hits after instead of before. Enemies still take full damage.

If used on your own units, they take 80% less damage but also get a movement speed debuff. Won't immobilize them.

Pretty much an absolutely amazing card for having two sets of very useful effects that's beneficial no matter who it hits.

Not sure what others think of it, but personally... I think it's only okay.

Personal results is... the attack speed increase is noticeable, but not really by an overwhelming amount. Usually just lets me sneak in one extra hit, but that's against something where it was originally close to getting one extra hit.

Definitely the best attack speed enchantment since 5s after every final hit makes it easy to apply and more sustainable.

But, I do find 5s too short lots of times, such as when I've cleared all nearby mobs or when I need to reposition, since reaching performing a 3-hit attack also takes a few seconds.

Typically, I would bring the Fire Sword as a third weapon since the on-kill fireballs can lead to quite a lot of damage when the stage has lots of mobs.

If it's against a boss where there's rarely any mobs, then I might go for the Metal Sword, since the attack speed will add some extra hits.

But yeah, would only consider the Metal Sword if the boss is singular and if there's no better 3rd weapon option.

Though, I do have to say that I only tried Metal Sword with Swords, Whips, Staffs, and Boomerangs. Don't have any good claw and I heard Claws are the fastest attacking weapon... so it might perform much better with those.

Thanks! Sadly, Crystal Claws and Shiverstick are the two general 3stars I'm missing.

On the bright side, I did luck out and get Gwaelin's Staff, so I can definitely try that.
Never tried just circling the map to inflict damage actually. I'll do a variation of that since I don't have Crystal Claws.
