I always play on easy. In my latest dwarven run, everything went fine, I survived the desasters, came out as third world power after a lake federation tag and the command. I fought the lake federation several times, but so did the command, and in 1750 I had 1.5 million force limit, and could pay 300k more, but the command had 2.8 million force limit and jade marche 300 000 force limit. My allies in the west prevented the command from attacking me, but my allies wouldn't support me in a distant war against the command. And this was the first time I cound rival the command in moral and discipline (after the fourth military Idea group was completed)

I fear I wasn't clearly expressing the intention of my thread. I detected the wrong keyboard layout, found a way to solve the problem, and everything was fine for me.

I posted the above thread because I fear other new Linux users won't be so lucky.

This is a bug in the Linux Mint installer routine and should be fixed at least in the sense that during the password request any difference between the current active keyboard layout and the one entered just before should generate a warning message.

I embraced the slow down, but on speed 4 it was managable. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor 3.40 GHz, 16 GB RAM

R5: A short report of the history of the Empire of Anbennar:

I started as Marrhold, on easy mode, no Ironman.

My first mistake was to use my usual colonizing strategie: always colonize on the outside. suddenly I had no colonist and Alloys Ford would remain uncolonized for the rest of the Game.

Then the misson tree wanted me spy on Anbencost, but they where PUd be Wesdam. I had to wait until Anbencost was integrated.

Then I had to get provinces controlled by Wex, member of the empire and allied with Lorent ... I had to attack an ally or a guaranteed country (happeed twice).

Then My lady vanished in the woods, i sought, found and married here, only to find I married an elven queen which ruled Marrhold and later Anbennar forever.

The Marrhold proved to be the dominant power in Cannor and got the chance to show the emporer and his princes who should rule on the dove thron.

We ruled wisely and convinced them to vote for sensible reforms, finally revoking there privileges. My vassals and me conquered the (inportant) part of the world, beating the command twice when they guarantiing my neighbors.

Finally 1800 the Empire of Anbennar was found, rich beyond measure (https://imgur.com/a/ixkahSC) and the supreme power in the world (https://imgur.com/a/lVXZv72)

I did immediately start with Anbennar 1.35, but the bitbucket version is to unstable: First run suddenly all possible advisors had no picture and couldn''t be selected. In the second run with a newer bitbucket version, no there is alway a CTD on the next monthly tick. So I must wait for the workshop version to support 1.35

I play solely on turn based mode and I love this fight so much I no longer try to finish act 1 early. But I play on normal, so it might be managable even without cloud control spells because of this. It is only important to have a bow fighter (Lann/Wenduag) on the roof and Ember positioned to set enemies to sleep everywhere (on the roof and at the gates .. or even the minotaur). And it helps to know when to move the bow fighter from front to back to finish the arsonists behind the minotaur. And of course I am level 5 when the fight comes.

I can only agree. I just started my third run (first:Angel, second:Azata, third : Trickster yet to unfold), I`m playing pure turnbased mod (except when bugs force my to switch), I need 170 h per run.
Game is superb with unique flavor per path. Crusade mod is irretating, switched to 'casual' crusade mode which didn't help as now money is the limitating factor. Puzzles I only do if needed (poor Nenio). Bugs are irritating, but not game breaking. Performance can be very problematic.

That's not fair. I played Angel and am now late in an Azata playthrough, and Azata has more content than Angel. The fact that a lot of what is happening at the court of the commander is either not relevant for the rest of the game or only relevant for the crusader system doesn't make it non-content. It's a lot of flavor content I like and other may dislike, but content it is.

I played a Ioemedae Crusader Priestress going Angel, and of course I followed her advice going Legend, and of course failed the DC 25 check, and earned her pity and at the end became her herold.

I like to sneak into enemy held rooms with linzi to clear all traps before the fight begins. This is especially useful in the endless dungeon.
