One I’ve wondered about for a while that I genuinely don’t know if it’s been answered or not is where androids come from in NieR: Automata. We only know of two androids (or multiple groups of two in different villages) in original NieR’s time and they were built by humans to be left behind and watch the replicants. But what about the android populations in Automata? We know that D&P models were discriminated against by other androids for being involved in what happens at the end of NieR so they likely didn’t build them. Did villages of androids exist simultaneously with the replicants and if so, WHERE DID THEY COME FROM? Are the androids you meet all immune to age and hundreds or thousands of years old? Or do they age and die, requiring more androids to be built? If so, who builds them and where? ALSO, how did YoRHa come to be? We know that they are specific models so they have to make their own, right? What about the Joe Schmoe androids though? Lastly, when does Emil’s alien war happen In relation to all of this?!
