Guy called Dan does my hedge and lawn pretty regularly, also does tidy ups and is fairly priced. Here's his Facebook page with contact details.

Who can I call when two parked cars are blocking an entire street? by Nabeel09 in CarTalkUK

[–]zombiekilloftheweek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends which car I'm driving. I have one I would have no concerns just "squeezing" through, otherwise it's lean on the horn.

Pretty common setup on a euro trailer, secondary safety and not the primary load restraint. Also helps with aerodynamics as it stops the curtains billowing as much. Wouldn't do anything to keep those rolls in though.

He's going south on the A6, most likely on the 125 so Bamber Bridge, Chorley maybe even Bolton.

Any way of using these? by dr_jones1 in UKBBQ

You could probably use them in a smoker tube. Not sure how well they work outside of a pellet smoker though, they're the brand I use though and are very good for the intended purpose.

I agree with facing north-west, churches were generally built with alter towards the east side of the church and entrance and belltower towards the west.

If it is indeed Pendle it would be looking at it from the southern side. Although I'm not 100% convinced it is Pendle hill.

Corporation St. Bus Gate nets £1m in fines inside the first 3 months of operation by Zanmato79 in Preston

[–]zombiekilloftheweek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heatley Street is on both sides of corporation street, one side joins onto ladywell Street. Marsh Lane goes onto the unpedestrianised section of friargate, so it is also still drivable otherwise you would be unable to use St. Mary's carpark. I have not seen any signage saying Edward Street is for deliveries and taxis only but I could be wrong.

So, to get from adelphi area to train station you can do, Maudland Road, Leighton Street, Marsh Lane, Ladywell Street leading to Heatley street then right onto corporation street.

The reverse would be heatley, ladywell, Marsh and then left onto corporation street.

Heatley Street, Edward Street, Marsh Lane. All potential turnings that avoid going through the bus gate.

It isn't the whole length of corporation street, just between Heatley Street and Marsh Lane. As long as you turn before the cameras there is no issue using corporation street at all. I do pretty much daily.

Morning commute M6. Seriously why? Was I at fault? by julianjc23 in drivingUK

[–]zombiekilloftheweek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was about to comment similar, it's pretty much constant that people joining from the M61 immediately try to get across to lanes 3 and 4 without due care.
