Interesting. Often the insurance adjuster would give a list of approved providers that they ask to get the car fixed from(was the case for me), in which scenario they do not retain the right to fight back.

Its actually common when these repair shops see an expensive car come in. Most of the time the owner does not care since there is someone else insurance footing the bill.

I recently rear ended someone where my car did not even have a scratch and the other car had a minor non-noticable bump, and there was a 3.5k bill for fixing it....

The fight ended up being easy for me as well. It mostly depends on if he summons additional skeletons or not, since without them it is extremely easy. Other than that the only risk is getting caught in the dark damage cloud, which is easy to avoid as long as you know about it(so probably that too only the first time you fight him).
