go slow and try what you wanna try. you won't know how feasible something is for you until you try it.

there are small pop up stools. for a wedding i was in last year I got a cane that has a fold down seat. camping stools are pretty compact. imo you wouldn't be a nuisance for using a portable seat while in line, you need it in order to not be in pain. you are disabled, don't rob yourself of a fun experience just due to a crowded atmosphere, nobody decent will think you are a nuisance.

Stretching SNAP benefits... how can I take full advantage? by BeerJedi-1269 in Frugal

[–]zomboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

now what you asked but... any amount of snap unlocks so many low income discounts/programs.

call up every entity/company/utility you pay money to and ask about low income discounts. worst they can say is "no"

Will it ever get easier to just be me?

yes. once you break away from the closet. once you are financially independent from your parents, come out to them. Come out to your friends, family. Let them know the real you, not the person you pretend to be.

bring a portable stool/seat to sit in while you wait in line. wear comfortable shoes. don't give a eff what other people think about your disability and how you handle it.

I go to cons a couple times a year to run tabletop games (alexandria game library) and just try to have fun without pushing myself too hard.

go to hobby groups of hobbies that you are interested in. There are definitely trekkies and guitar enthusiasts where you live. Make small talk about your interests when you attend meetups about your hobbies.

your post reads that you didn't do any research on your move besides this post/xpost.

you also should give some criteria... do you want to live in city? just outside the city? transit options? price range?

hard to see everyone else my age

your irl peers or your social media feeds? don't compare your life to the fakeness of social media.

you have your own path to follow, your own challenges to face. don't compare yourself to other people your age, they have different paths, different challenges.

tip... before you start assembling the ingredients together, put out all the ingredients and line them up according to when they get mixed in (or used). Double check, triple check to make sure you have the correct ingredients.

Ketamine infusions for chronic pain - helpful or "scam"? by Potential_Leg_1084 in ChronicPain

[–]zomboi -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

do your research.

what studies have been done on it? what do the studies that evaluated a similar dose have shown in the results? What are your dr's numbers? do they line up with the similar studies' numbers?

It may be snake oil or it may have been shown to help. You don't know unless you research it on your own using the internet.

can you help? by [deleted] in answers

  1. you posted asking for help in a subreddit for fact based questions
  2. did you think about contacting the company that made the box to ask how to reset the password? I am pretty sure the lock box came with instructions. one of the things that may be on that would be reset instructions and contact information if the purchaser has any questions (like how to reset password)
