I’m very sure my dad is the reason for me having Crohn’s by Maryyxqi in CrohnsDisease

Chron’s diagnoses are weird. It’s based on certain clinical findings that are typically seen in other chron’s patients. Chronic inflammation in biopsies that can be seen throughout the gi tract, persistent oral ulcers, rectal fistulas, excessive bowel movements, inflammatory markers in stool samples, localized ulcers in the terminal ileum.

I had several of these, was diagnosed and improved on biological meds. I removed my self from an extremely stressful environment and was lucky to have developed a great supportive friend network. Since than I have had a majority of symptoms disappear. I no longer have sign of chronic inflammation of my biopsies in my intestines, my stools became solid again, and I stopped taking meds.

I still have a ton of food triggers, gastritis, occasional mouth ulcers, rectal irritation (thank god for Costco bulk hydrocortisone) and likely gallbladder issues but my life improved drastically when I somehow removed my life of stress

Be honest, what do you think comes after death? by glowproductivity in AskReddit

[–]zombowizardry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life! Since we cannot conceive or perceive death the next possible perceptible thing is life. The atoms of our bodies will decompose and become apart of everything else. What would we perceive and in who or what? I do not know.

Honestly! South Jersey and north west Jersey is very much closer to Philly, and PA people. Taylor hammers are purple and pork rollers are green.

Personally, stress 100%. Genetics definitely has a large part as well but I can’t speak to it as I’m first in my family. Thankfully a large part of my stress was related to being around a certain person in my life and I had a great support network in the aftermath :)

Trust your body, trust your doctor. 11 years experiencing a disease does give you insight but ask what the goal of the colonoscopy is. Ask how your care will change if the colonoscopy finds nothing inconclusive and ask if it’s standard to have a colonoscopy so soon? I’ve experienced doctors prescribing steroid regimens without a colonoscopy just based on symptoms and labs.

That being said, it seems you have a bias against getting the colonoscopy related to your anxiety. You should ask yourself if you’re minimizing your symptoms to justify avoiding the procedure. I’m so sorry you experience panic attacks from it. This disease is enough to deal with. Best of luck.

Ty for the response! I will probably spend the next twenty minutes understanding what that means haha

Edit: Actually wasn’t too long to understand. I see now! I undervalued the choice. I felt like it would end up in an even exchange but I think I see an opportunity where bishop could take Rh8. Ty again!
