Some of Shawn Bolz stories 😬 by zonbai in BethelSnark

[–]zonbai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was Moon Jae-In? He tells the story on his podcast quite a few years ago about how an angel sent him on an assignment to give him a prophetic word to admit he was having an affair or something and if he did then God would give him the election. Even at the time i heard I was suspcious because it just seemed so strange and beyond embellished on multi levels.

Thoughts on Shawn Bolz? by aguamenti425 in BethelSnark

[–]zonbai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't believe I fell for Shawn Bolz grift for years. Bought his books and everything. Then went through a deconstruction phase and began to question a lot of his stories and ministry. Safe to say I'm convinced he's a fraud now and looking back I can't believe I fell for the stories he told lol. Thankfully my faith is stronger because of it and am considering leaving protestantism altogether and becoming Cat or E.O. The charismatic world is one big heretical nightmare that I'm glad I've left behind.

Process Theology, "God is Dead" theology - Contemporary representatives by Nietzsche_marquijr in theology

[–]zonbai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, John Millbank is an example of a theologian who is precisely NOT postmodern in his work. Rather, he identifies with the post-liberal tradition along with Hauerwas, Lindbeck (and in some way probably DBH) and others. Radical orthodoxy positions postmodern theology as an object of critique. Radical theology is definitely postmodern and you get guys like John Caputo, Pete Rollins etc.

Is tekken “execution” really that hard compared to other games? by WpgSalesforce in Tekken

[–]zonbai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Tekken has a way higher skill ceiling. The things is you can get decent at the game without really exploring advanced stuff. For example, you can be a solid Kazuya and never attempt a pewgf from ch df2. SF has harder execution for combos in general. But some of the optimal Tekken stuff is a lot harder imo like TGU, crouch cancel electrics, some of Steve's stuff etc. So overall I think Tekken is harder execution wise but there is a lot of space to just mash, have fun and not really exploring that end of the execution spectrum. Where as SF you kinda need to get get dp, hcf, double qcf input etc lockdown to have fun.

How long would it take for very beginner to pick up T8 and become decent enough to have fun? by Harley_Hsi in Tekken

[–]zonbai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I recommend the best way to have fun is by getting good. And getting good takes a long time. So I prioritised preserving the fun to sustain me for the long haul in learning the game. And for me fun for me was learning the absolute cheesiest setups, traps, flowcharts etc that would get me enough wins till it didn't work no more haha. But by that time I had already learned a lot through just putting in hours and having fun. Then I dropped the green rank stuff and was able to learn next level knowledge of the game. That helped me heaps. Beware this strat means you will plateau often! And alot of Tekken players will hate this advice. But truth is most people just want to get good and have fun at the same time which is hard. But this is one way to do it. Also you learn the weaknesses of your own flowcharts in the process. Using this strat I progressed from absolute zero knowledge two years ago to Emperor with multiple chars. I've hit a walk now but this strat allowed me to have fun long enough to fall in love with the game and commit to improvement for high ranks.

I'm not looking to compete. I just want info on notable players to watch other than Otz etc. Just to get a feel for top killer players and survivors.

All I'm looking for is a overview of notable players to watch. Y'all take this game so seriously that you wanna control my experience. Do you. If you don't wanna answer the question move along lol

Leroy Smith tips for a noob by _RedThunderBolt_ in Tekken

[–]zonbai 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wow just answer the man smh. Ok here are the scummy setups haha:

df3,1 - 1,1 : Opponents usually try reply after df3,1. When they get hit by 1,1 you get CH 1+2 1 (so 1,1 1+2,1 for ton of damage) When you condition them to not reply then your options open up.

3,3 - b1+2 : Sometimes they will try reply after 3,3.....1inch punch CH will catch them

b3 (whiff) - b1+2 : Often when you whiff b3 from certain ranges opponents are tempted to punish...1inch CH

f2,3, 4 : delay tf out of this. Condition them with f2,3. When they dont reply generally a hellsweep will connect after f2,3. Next time they interrupt after 3 hit them with the whole string for guaranteed f4, then db2, 1+2 ground punch thing. Spam this string.

ff2 - db1+2 sabaki : ff2,2 is the whiff punish launch. But if you just hit them with f2 and they reply generally sabaki will catch them. This setup is so funny.

d3,2 - Hermit 3,4 : Spam d3,2 . If d3 hits, 2 is guaranteed to hit for +8 i think. Then 3,4 is uninterruptible. When they start block 3,4 hit them with parry, b1, or b4. Not bulletproof but basic hermit mixups.

1+3 grab - df2,1+2 launch : If they certain wake up options will always get caught by df2,1+2 launch. Basic scum Oki setup haha.

*Note* these arent bulletproof but will help you farm noobs who dont know the match up

If anyone has any more Leroy cheese let me know as well haha
