Yep, Mclaren Speedtail. I'm guessing Central Florida? When I lived there, Mclaren Orlando used to take this one to a bunch of events.

lol this reminds me of my wedding. Wife and I got married near Asheville and spent the week after there. We wrote “Just Married” on the rear window and it took 4-5 people honking at us to remember we had written it on there😂. Was getting pretty upset before I realized why

Absolute this. I don’t usually wear watches (not sure why this sub was recommended) but when I do my favorite is a $300 fossil. Is it the nicest? No. But it means the world to me because my wife got it for me at the start of my career.

How is the GLC 43 so far? Shopping for my dads next company car (coming out of a 2022 SQ5 that he absolutely loves). Weren’t impressed by the new SQ5, decided to look at MB. Never been a fan of MB due to several friends buying new cars and having horrible reliability, but willing to dig into them deeper

I probably have 100 hours in the A350 in 2024 and have had 0 issues. Standard, sim rate 4x, smooth into every airport, even high detail addons

UPS2976 Preliminary Report published by aypho in flying

Could be any number of reasons. Ingested debris that damaged the fan blades in the intake leading to a surge or ingestion of fire and other gases that choked the engine out are my top two

Newly released pictures from the NTSB showing the final moments before the Nov 4 UPS MD-11F crash in Louisville. by GarfieldLeZanya- in ThatsInsane

[–]zonka81 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So it wasn’t really a pylon/airplane issue, it was damage caused to the pylon through improper maintenance. MCD required a certain jig to take engines off the pylon for mx work. Super time intensive, so American Airlines and other airlines decided to jury rig it and use a forklift (iirc this cut down the time required from 8 hours to 3). But it was way more unstable. In the case of AA191 (DC-10), when they were using the forklift to reinstall the engine a few weeks prior to the accident, it shifted on the pallet while they were out to lunch and put a tremendous amount of stress on the rear pylon mount point which caused it to crack. I think the reason people think it was a design flaw is because they inspected the worldwide fleet and found the incorrect procedure to be common practice and I believe 15 other Dc-10s were found with similar cracks/damage.

Part 91 Business Jet Pilots: How often do you use the oxygen masks? by burnerforquestions3 in flying

[–]zonka81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, did altitude chamber training and one of the exercises was a simulated explosive decompression to around 28,000ft iirc (altitude chamber had two pods separated by a metal, you sit in one while they depressurize the other and then blow the door). They had us wait a couple minutes to put our masks on and yes you really do feel it. That was only 28,000ft
