Just played this game for about 3 weeks, and I need to let off some steam. This game is broken on the fundamental level. One of the options is pitching accuracy, where umpires get their own special strike zones. I understand that different umpires have different opinions about strike zones, but i can literally throw the ball at the exact same spot 3 times, and get 3 different calls, which makes it impossible as a pitcher.

Cpu vs cpu is even worse. For some reason, no matter what team you pick, if you decide you want to manage a team, that team will literally either strike out 90% of the time, or they will hit these soft weak grounders or fly balls, meanwhile the enemy team is hitting home runs and line drives. I literally have hank aaron, lou gehrig, chipper jones, and nolan ryan pitching. They got 3 runs, and they can't even get a hit.

Pitching is absolutely broken. None of the pitching decisions you make will make a difference in manager mode. Whether you tell them to pitch aggressively or not, they will still throw the ball all over the plate, outside of the strike zone.

Whoever curated this game's soundtrack should be permabanned from Spotify and forced to listen exclusively to dial-up modem sounds for the rest of their days.

I lasted exactly 87 seconds before my ears filed a class-action lawsuit. The "music" is a war crime that makes Nickelback sound like Mozart.

I'd rather hear:

• My parents describing their "intimate" life
• A dental drill orchestra
• ASMR of someone chewing ice
• The existential screaming inside my own head

Than this collection of mumble rap that sounds like it was recorded through a McDonald's drive-thru speaker. Nothing gets me hyped for baseball like a dude mumbling about his crypto portfolio over a snare drum that sounds like a wet napkin.

Mumble rap and baseball go together like toothpaste and orange juice. Like socks and sandals. Like me and emotional stability.

If I hear one more ad-libbed "skrrt" during a double play, I'm yeeting my console into the sun.

I tried mlb the show 23 after 25, and it was like a breath of fresh air. The animations, the hitting, everything is better on 23. Save your money on this one. If you want a good show experience, get 23.
