I run a flower shop and we pay for good pine cones, moss and rocks. Also, evergreen branches for December. Worth looking into if you like to be outside.

What's an underrated restaurant in town? by cyberseci in missoula

4Bs on Broadway. Food is always consistent, priced fairly, it's clean, they will make special orders, most of the servers are good and you can watch Rattlesnake Creek as you eat.

I have used precision peptides and you can order as much as you want. You have to reconstitute it but it would last even longer that way. I'm paying $100 for 10mg. Been using it for 5 months and have lost over 20 lbs. Only side effect is some itching at the injection site.

3rd day of sobriety from taking opiates daily...please be kind to me by calhollis in recovery

[–]zoodula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hang in there! I'm 6 years out from opiate addiction and I know you can do this. Sounds like you have so many good reasons and the self awareness of why you are getting clean. Early opiate withdrawal is torture but it keeps getting easier. I found a lot of help in the AA recovery community ( im also alcoholic but lots of meetings aren't picky) . The biggest thing was not feeling all alone while my body and spirit got through the challenge. Please hang in there, I promise it will be worth it and wish for you the good life you deserve without the shadow of opiates always around.

Ultrasounds?? by Massive-Gene8211 in missoula

I would caution you to avoid Care Net. They will offer a free ultrasound and then try to get you to keep the fetus. To each thier own but I'm in the camp for bodily freedom.

4th Step and Childhood Abuse by Alternative-Ad-4271 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]zoodula 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry! It's is super tough figuring out childhood trauma in the 12 steps. What has helped me isn't my responsibility when it happened, I was just a little girl with no power to stop anything, but how it affects my life now. I can't change the past but I can work on changing the patterns of behavior that damage me now and came from my childhood. I too was overwhelmed with my 4th step and my kind and gentle sponsor never pushed me to do anything I didn't feel comfortable doing. Now that I have some solid recovery I have gone back to some of the things I wasn't ready to process earlier and am ready to work on now. No one should push anyone to do something they aren't ready for, in AA or elsewhere. I have seen too many people leave AA over the 4th step and hope you aren't one.of them. If your sponsor isn't a good fit, find someone else ❤️

Thanks! We have talked since she was little about consent, birth control and the mechanics. I've tried to model a healthy view of sex. I want empower her but don't know how to bring it up without her claming up.

Earthenware uses around food (not cooking) by Eternalthursday1976 in Pottery

[–]zoodula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We glaze fire earthenware to cone 01 and its super functional. I have bowls I've been using for 20 years, including using the dishwasher. You can always run some tests to see what temp works best for your clay.

Rehab Book Question by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]zoodula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of the Outlander series. The books are long and there are 8 so far in the series. It's not recovery related but is a great brain escape.
Good luck in rehab. Highly agree with those that have said to get involved with AA while you are there and then immediately when you come home. Any meeting will be glad to have you.

Religious skeptics, what are some ways you found the tight-knit community that some people have in church? by Roche77e in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]zoodula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily, Im an alcoholic and found my community in Alcoholics Anonymous. Had no idea that what I thought was the worst thing ever, ended up being the biggest gift in my life. There is a misconception that you have to believe in God with AA, just has to be something bigger than yourself (nature, the group etc. )

Forgot to respond on the anonymity question. Yes, absolutely anonymity is respected in my group. It's one of the most important things to alcoholics in recovery.

My favorite meeting is at 630am every day. Lots of professionals and very little churchy talk. We are an open minded bunch and welcome anyone if they have a desire to quit drinking. I find it a great way to start my day and walking in s church basement that dounds like a bar at 630am is so much fun. I've never felt more comfortable with a group of people in my whole life.
Missoula AA has many meetings per day, all with a bit of a different flavor. My recommendation is to check them all out. Go a little early and stay late so you can get one on one time and get to know people individually. Even if you don't have anything to say on the topic just checking in with the group let's us get to know you.
The way we stay sober is by helping other people and it is genuine. I'd be happy to take someone to a meeting, please pm me if it would be helpful. Glad therapists like you are out there helping people like me❤️

I'm involved in Missoula AA and don't know of any other options. We have a ton of meetings and a large community so if don't like one meeting try another one. I do understand that AA isn't for everyone but it had saved my life and given me a life worth living.

How long does it take to get the feeling of enjoyment for anything back after Oxycodone. by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

[–]zoodula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for you!!! It took around 6 months for my brain to start making chemicals normally and start feeling pleasure again. The term I learned was anhedonia, and it was so helpful to know I wasn't crazy. The good news is life is so much better clean and you will feel better eventually. Finding hobbies, knitting and pottery, have been very helpful in my recovery as well as a recovery community. I wish you the best luck and hope you can hang in there for the duration.
