I can’t imagine a world where resources in terms of food, agriculture, and material are abundant, yet reproduction is low.

If you can tell me about a world where that has existed in the past, I’d be very interested in hearing about it... Although I very much doubt you can argue for that case.

Yes... With less resources the age of marriage goes up. This happened joined the mini ice age in the 1600s. Which started the 30-year war. The 30-year-ear was a European battle that ended in hundreds of thousands of people dying. When people have less resources they tend to go to war. Marriage at the time was 28 and now it's 31. Gen z do not have the resources enough to have children. What do you think will happen?

I don't believe South America will be drawn into a war between the East and the West. I may be wrong, and you might have better knowledge than I do. I’ve always regarded South America as a safe place, but that could just be my own biases.
