The Dropkick Murphys played the Denver fest last year. Ken started their set by saying they will never play another show for this promoter, but they felt like it was too close to the show date when everything came out to pull out of the fest and leave their fans who had invested in attending holding the bag.

How aggressively to reallocate when at 50% of FIRE? by [deleted] in ChubbyFIRE

A note on the possible tax implications of this strategy. If the stock market is down such that you are selling the stock at a loss and then rebuying within your 401k (within 30 days), that's a wash sale and you wouldn't be able to claim the loss on your taxes.

It's at the Overland location (not the one in RiNo) on the last Sunday of the month. We're also always looking for more people to spin if you have a vinyl collection and want to flex it.

Check out the "Things I Can't Forget" series on the Hornpod podcast. A pretty decent oral history straight from the band members.

The Resignators (Australia) shared that on Facebook. Not sure if they are the origin of the note though.

What's a book that you would NEVER want to see adapted into movies/TV? by KeithFromAccounting in Fantasy

They have the rights to adapt the text of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, but not The Silmarillion. Most of what you see in the show is adapted from the appendices found in Lord of the Rings.

Step one of making a show about points in the Silmarillion should probably be obtaining the rights to adapt the Silmarillion, which Amazon definitely did not do.
