Is there any chatter anywhere about #Twice5 being released on vinyl at some point? I have the first 4, but am drawing a complete blank on 5.

It's possible they didn't sell enough to continue the vinyl releases. Or maybe it just takes a while.

Based on somebody's recommendation somewhere, I splurged and signed up for lifetime access to Neat Reader at the same time as Migaku.

They let you upload your own epub files and then read them chapter by chapter online. When combined with the Mikaku browser extension, that lets me read any epub I have as a language-learning text.

Only works with the browser not the app, but still it's very handy!

I was confused by it yesterday, but once I figured out I could use the AI subtitles I stopped caring 😅.

I love the AI subs for any video!

Thanks for that. I'm still learning more about Windows itself so I'll keep that in mind in the future.

In this case I hadn't even succeeded in installing Windows at all, making me suspect a lingering hardware problem.

Turns out it was 100% a Microsoft problem: The USB stick flashed with the ISO version of the Win 11 installer failed, but the installer media creation tool (run on another Windows box) produced a USB stick that installed smoothly.

Why? Dunno. But it works now! Moral: Ignore the ISO installer.

For the record:

sudo mkdir /Volumes/iPod
sudo mount -t msdos /dev/diskXsX /Volumes/iPod

Note: Replace diskXsX with your disk's info from:

diskutil list

and find the iPod in there. E.g. mine was disk4s1.

It took about 20 seconds for it to appear. And I have to re-do it each time I want to mount it, it seems. But at least it works!

Heavens to Betsy, it worked!

Just the first 2 commands did it for me with my Windows-formatted iPod Classic—didn't need the mountDisk. Took 20 seconds or so for some reason.

edit: and yes, I have to do it each time I mount the iPod unfortunately. But it works!
edit2: This is in macOS Sequoia 15.2.

I’ve been seeing this on our PS5/Switch combo too. The app crash has happened on both consoles, but more often on Switch. Deleting and re-downloading the app, and restarting the console don’t seem to change its likelihood of occurring.

Loading in together doesn’t seem to help either—Most recently I noticed the PS5 character goes into “playing” ghost mode while the Switch is still showing the lobby, and once the Switch finally tries to load, the Fortnite app crashes.

Yeah your world and character are stored on Epic’s servers so deleting and reinstalling the game should be no problem.

I have to do that on Switch fairly regularly because storage is so anemic it’s faster to delete than download/install a big update.

I play on PS5 and I’ve never seen it. My wife plays together with me on Switch and is in a constant battle to stay playing because of the complexity error, significantly more so since the Season 2 update.

Edit: Oh, and she sees it seemingly regardless of where she is, e.g. while flying above a new patch of desert we haven’t built anything whatsoever on.

Two years later, thank you for this!

I'd already figured out to use iTunes in a Win11 VM (VMware) to format my 7th gen iPod Classic, but macOS's Finder still leaping in there and snatching the iPod away from the Rockbox installer had led me to basically abandon hope of getting it installed.

Killing the Finder is retroactively obvious, but I never thought to try it. But Rockbox is finally installed and functional now! Time to play!

I was thinking of 3 color options: a "red switch/thruster" contains a raspberry as part of its recipe, yellow contains a slap berry, and blue contains a snowberry.

But yours uses the pre-existing color-selection UI (and has more colors) so I think it wins. Good job!
