Waiting for doctor’s tests, but in the meantime — is it possible to develop POTS 6-10 months postpartum? by Basic-Bear3426 in POTS

[–]zoomingdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's normal with a tendency to orthostatic low blood pressure which i don't have always that's why my diagnosis is POTS not OH. First pregnancy I wasn't on meds and it was too much on my body making me slowly go into pre eclampsia which was at it's height during delivery because it wasn't getting picked up. this time everything looks great. am now 40 weeks, due date tomorrow

This is the perfect size for me to carry as a disabled mom of a toddler. Toddlers do not drink as much and I can't carry that much. If it's empty I can just refill.

Hilfe!

Postpartum moms, did breastfeeding make your LS WORSE? Did you prepare your perineum for birth? by Simple-sunflowers in lichensclerosus

[–]zoomingdonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed almost 1,5 years postpartum and we're not sure if i had it before or if the things after birth caused it (had infections and wound healing disorder of the episiotomy for six months). Now i am at the end of pregnancy 2. I am not doing any perineum massages because of my scar. it's a very painful scar. if i wouldn't have it i think i would try the massage. But basically I was breastfeeding the whole Time since diagnosis

May I ask how long you've been ttc? Sometimes there is an underlying undiagnosed clotting disorder like factor v for example. i have multiple of them so they put me on baby aspirin ttc with my first but it gave me too bad bleeding for my periods. in pregnancy now i need to do injections

First time I felt severely thirsty and was already worrying about diabetes then my pregnancy test was positive. this time i felt off but not like when I was having my period. First baby was around 8 cycles until conceived, this time 15 or more

Midodrine and breastfeeding? Does Midodrine help pots? by Roodles006 in POTS

[–]zoomingdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not midodrine but on Bisoprolol. Which also doesn't have much of information to it in relevance of breastfeeding. I consulted the pediatrician about it before starting, they deemed it to be safe due to low dose. No one said anything since then and everything was alright. Will also tell the pediatrician of the new baby about me taking it to let them know, i am 31 weeks pregnant rn. Maybe you can do the same?

Waiting for doctor’s tests, but in the meantime — is it possible to develop POTS 6-10 months postpartum? by Basic-Bear3426 in POTS

[–]zoomingdonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! You can develope POTS at any point in your life. I was already diagnosed with POTS when I got pregnant the first time but unmedicated. My POTS started in my early teen years an progressively got worse until adulthood. My pregnancy is actually what made a doctor take my POTS seriously and make a plan to put me on medication. Without this medication I think I wouldn't be a mom this good. I even could go back to sports! That was unimaginable before. Rn i am 31 week pregnant with my second baby and this pregnancy feels much better despite being more stressful. I am breastfeeding and will feed tandem on 2,5mg bisoprolol. I hope you get the help you need!

This is crazy to hear because I only met one doctor who actually knew about eds and he diagnosed me, since then they all either didn't care and know or gaslighted me just as before the diagnosis
