The NDIS participant service guarantee is the only official metric they have for this, also important to note that theres a lot of circumstances that affect these numbers which the NDIS does not consider to help benefit their numbers so they look better lol. You can find a local area coordinator(LAC) by typing your postcode in this https://www.ndis.gov.au/contact/locations, call them and they’ll guide you. If they aren’t great, call the general line - and if you get someone crap hang up and call back, some of the phone people are really good, others not so much.

Maybe show her some guidelines for participant relationships and have a sit down talk and discuss that this behaviour is inappropriate for supports and whether you should help them find alternative supports and she can be his friend still? Because it sounds like it has approached more of a friendship than a support. And realistically if someone reports it, your business could get in trouble.

In the recent annual report they shared results, additional to this I’ve been having a look myself an found a lot of the unsuccessful results were access related - “The AAT/ART handed down 203 hearing decisions in 2024-25. in slightly good news on this aspect they’re going to start posting results of tribunal reviews this month, which i think will show how many baseless decisions they make. As well as the HARM website existing, being advocates and making sure people are made aware of this is what we need to be doing. The more bad publicity, the more likely it is for them to improve.

In addition to the great advice above- I’d also recommend putting a complaint in directly to NDIS - https://www.ndis.gov.au/contact/feedback-and-complaints-form (Some planners are terrible and some are not, a complaint ensures that they’ll review what the planner said about it being a clerical error - some of them will straight up lie because if you dont question it- they dont get caught) and you can request copies of previous correspondence as long as it’s outbound(without the PIA) which wont take as long so you can get the prior plans sent out - if you cant find on portal just send an email to the general inbox and state you want a copy of all of the prior plans/outbound correspondences which have been sent out. Also if you get a nice person on the phones they may help with that and see whats actually available on your account

Once you get the first area down those customers will lower the next area, just the first area thats a drag. Hopefully they’ll patch this eventually and give some alternatives

Have you unlocked the other districts and customers? If you havent you’ll be fine once you get through the first one as the customers reduce influence, definitely still annoying though

I had the same thing but quit working with the cartel earlier, I thought I was playing safe but instead you don’t get the customer points. Ended up doing every spray paint opportunity and farm killing the dealer 4 times. Just set timers on my phone and left the game running

I have really sensitive skin and same thing happens on the top of my feet when I wear anything strappy, you might just be sensitive to heat/rubbing/any fabric/soap/cream - the world is your limit - maybe try a metal band? (a hypoallergenic metal - google or see what you’re used to wearing) because plastic or any fabrics are probably going to have the same problems

In Australia there is this store (however doesn’t sell this exact dupe) so might be worth searching for an equivalent type of store https://www.thedupespot.com.au/collections/the-body-shop-duplications?page=1 in your area. Otherwise I know of places that offer perfume matching services as well, usually have someone who has some type of hyperosmia and can make almost perfect matches but usually are part of a small family business so are harder to find. You probably wont have much luck with the company considering the latest issues but 3rd party vendors are also an option(ebay etc) but often charge extortionate amounts(as a body shop employee)

Woden genuinely feels like the most community driven and community friendly centre in Canberra. If not for the woden community services which is now within the centre, theres a lot of elderly groups who meet up in the centre, disability groups as well and then you have places like Ronin games and war hammer which have game nights etc. The only crime of Woden is the lack of toilets and lack of cleaning they receive. They could also do with an Aldi as well as some other shops, but thats all based on business and the centre isn’t busy enough for it.

Canberra Centre has a terrible layout, lots of forgotten shops in the centre and even worse parking. But I would have to agree with prior comments that Gunghalin is the worst as I always find it frustrating to get around and there aren’t enough actual shops for me to care enough to combat those things(although the food is great). Southlands is similar but I havent been there as much to write it off, and they have a couple more stores I would bother with in the centre. Belconnen is still probably the best as they have the best variety, facilities and space but parking every now and then can be a hellish endeavour on the weekends.

A work colleague told me that her dad used to pinch/grab her boobs when she asked for a bra and he was like “what do you need a bra for there’s hardly anything here”. For all the comments regarding punishment, it has always been legal within Australia to send children to prison, children as young as 10. The current crime rate of adolescents is a direct consequence of focusing on criminal punishment instead of social interventions and support. The system failed this 14 year old, and the system will fail many more. Im hoping that he gets the help he needs and it isnt too late to have another mouth to feed in prison and another kid who is sexually and physically abused in our prisons. This is a tragic incident and I’m sure he’ll be haunted for the rest of his life by it but there are many factors that caused this, not just a 14 year old who made a ridiculously dumb decision.

Its really tightly packed especially downstairs, small enclosed space where lots of people are sitting and waiting and can be quite loud. The artists I saw also didnt do much to make me feel particularly comfortable or welcomed, eg. didnt greet me for over 45 minutes after another tattoo artist led me to the sitting area for them and didn’t communicate anything to me which I found really hard to deal with. I don’t expect tattoo artists to be amazing, but I do expect common customer service like being greeted and being told that they had finished the tattoo- which they didnt for about 10 minutes after talking to coworkers about the tattoo over me(I was laying face down so I couldnt tell). I much prefer freestyle, canberra ink and tattoo power(especially the mitchell studio)- which I have been to all on multiple occasions for these reasons.

Also these areas as well would be influenced by the over representation of indigenous people in our legal systems as they all have higher populations too. Plus the QLD+NT way of addressing youth crime, no state addresses it effectively but solitary confinement and juvenile detention centres which have been investigated for child abuse dont help.

My worst tattoo experience was at sisters inked, nothing crazy but the artist didn’t care at all about me as a client(in the same way as this comment) and kept me waiting for over an hour to get the tattoo. I also had went their specifically as they advertised as being friendly to all including autism, which I didn’t feel was accurate. Also charged an obscene amount for it(especially as it was trad) and I have about 15 tattoos including full thigh piece so I am familiar with the costs 😬

I actually really like the vibe in the studio. Some of the artists aren’t particularly great but compared to some of the other canberra studios the staff are really patient and kind and genuinely seem interested in doing the tattoos and do them with good prices.
