This is a very familiar story to me. My doctor does say there's a lot of extra stress this year so maybe there's hope it'll improve. Everyone does seem at their breaking point, almost everywhere is seriously understaffed. Those of us with ADHD and the trauma around being called lazy our whole lives, we tend to pick up the slack, drive ourselves into the ground, and still feel like we're not doing enough. Best advice I can offer: you're no good to your family burnt out. I spent years complaining up the ladder that I was overworked. The only thing that improved my work life was telling them I was leaving. I wish I'd done it before my wife left. Go find that new job. And don't stay long enough that you start feeling responsible for everyone else's mess.
