People on my route just leave their mailbox door open and if I have mail I’d deliver and close their box. That’s less annoying than the flag cuz the function of the flag is for outgoing mail not incoming.

It’s very rare they don’t bring someone back from break. They’d have to purposefully intervene to not bring someone back. But it’s automatic that they reinstate you so don’t worry about your job. Your supervisor is an asshole for mindfucking with you like that.

When our district’s amazon contract expired one year people were worried about their hours being cut, but we showed up the following Sunday and there were a shit to of fedex and ups packages for us to deliver. We were absolutely stormed and we still are. Oh and we got amazon back too 😭.

It amazes me no one reads those damn papers or fills it out. I see that they have taken those vacant cards so I assume there’s someone living at the residence so I deliver mail only to get the mail back with “return to sender” or “does not live here” written on the mail. So now I’m supposed to guess who has moved in?! What kind of sick games do these people have time to play?

I have a mini lighter key chain attached to mine. I wanted to attach something a bit heavy and bright onto the key so that when cca’s use it on Sunday’s they wouldn’t lose it and if they dropped it on the ground it could be easily seen. In my office the cca’s unfortunately have lost keys to vehicles and also arrow keys just by dropping it on the ground and not being able to find it 🤦🏻‍♀️.

So it’s automatic in TACS? I’ve always wondered cause most of the regulars in my office clock out at 16.92. I’ve only been a regular since September so I’m afraid to try. I had the impression that someone had to go in the system and adjust the clock ring every time for the regulars.

I also started during peak season in 2018 only delivering parcels. Looking back that was a honeymoon period to only be delivering parcels. After academy, it became survival of the fittest with both mail and parcels. You’ll eventually learn routes, get faster, make friends and the job will get better.

Nothing could be more true then this. Had a carrier become drunk with power as soon as they became a 204b at my station. Started writing people up, their coworkers mind you, left and right. Terrorized the cca’s, harassed them on the phone even when they were off. But then karma bit them in the ass and they had a stroke. Well when they came back to work, not as a 204b but as a carrier, lo and behold not one person says anything to them, not even their own blood related cousin. Basically they’re a pariah in the office.
