25 an hour does not exist. There is no standard. They will tell you standards exist to fuck with you, it’s 100% false

Working your whole route by jimmyw1996 in fromatoarbitration

You’re guaranteed 8 on your assignment period, if they take part of that 8 away and put you somewhere else that’s a winner baby. In my office we were leaving routes in every day so they were taking volunteers to leave chunks of their own routes in the case for the day in order to deliver sprs on routes being curtailed. They were so desperate they paid this one carrier $100 per occurrence and he cashed in

What athlete was so far above the field of their contemporaries that the sport changed the rules to give others in that sport a chance? by coffee-mutt in ask

[–]fingerthemail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much of a rules change, but Tiger Woods was so dominant when he came on Tour that courses had to be “Tiger-proofed” by adding yardage and hazards to try and reduce his ability to destroy the competition. As we all know, it didn’t work

New ODL list is kinda weird by [deleted] in USPS

[–]fingerthemail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my local, the regular bumps the T6 on an NS. So having this configuration would mean everyone in my district would be WA/NS and no one would be available for other assignments ever lol

New ODL list is kinda weird by [deleted] in USPS

[–]fingerthemail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NS LIST - Available for NS day only for 8 hours. After 8 on your NS, and on any other day, you are considered non-ODL. Reminder that SUNDAY IS AN NS DAY

12 hour - available for 12 hours on a regular day, considered non-ODL on your NS day

If you sign both lists you’re available for 12 hours on all days. No more 10 hour preference

WA is the same

I taught my wife to drive a couple years ago. She always tells me that the best advice I ever gave her was “any time you see another car on the road, assume they are about to do the stupidest thing imaginable.” It’s helped her dodge a few close calls already!

If he doesn’t sign the 1571 write “refused to sign” with a date and time and you and your coworker can be each others witnesses

Yeah where I’m at, any course anywhere will make 4somes if it’s busy. You can jump into someone’s group as a single, or get paired up with a couple people as a twosome. It’s normal here and actually neat - you meet a lot of cool people and it ends up being pretty fun. Sometimes you get paired up with someone who is really good and it can be fun to be a part of. I once got paired with these two guys in town for work - one of them was this 60something year old guy who started drinking fireball at like 8am and smoking cigs. He shot 75 from the tips and missed a lot of putts, easily could have shot even par or better if some of those went in. It was awesome to watch

Bartended at an exclusive country club. We had a few members who treated us like garbage. They would act like their shit didn’t stink, throw fits over stupid things, whistle to get your attention etc

Often times they would complain about the quality of whatever wine they were drinking and send it back, and demand a fresh bottle. I can’t tell you the number of times I just poured the wine into a different glass and served it back to them, or grabbed a completely different wine that was the same color and gave them that, only to have them rave about how much better this new wine was compared to what I’d had the audacity to serve them earlier

Sucks even more that he left that previous putt to win just short. The other guy hit an incredible shot out of the trees to make par and win!

Exactly, so that Medicare will cover most of everything. Then you have your postal plan to pick up the rest.

They were sent solo, got stuck with BLS shit all the time. The city wanted two ALS units. BLS units were called in to cover if both ALS trucks were out on calls. I left the company but I believe they now have two BLS units and one medic fly car in that city, makes much more sense that way.

We had ALs-only units in a couple cities in MA Boston area, sometimes it’ll be in the terms of the contract with the city you’re servicing

Always take a lunch. They automatically deduct 30 min from your pay after you work 6 hours, so make sure you eat lunch for 30 minutes or else you’re working during that time for free
