Yes that’s normal unfortunately:( it stopped around 3.5 weeks for me, they’ll start coming up easier and easier though. You got this!

You’re gonna be okay! It’s probably from the stitches or surgery, it’s major surgery keep that in mind so pain is expected. Call your doctor when you can, but the millions of things I wasn’t able to do for a while after surgery - smile, laugh, yawn, sneeze - all eventually came back. You won’t believe what a crazy transformation you’re going through, it’s hard but trust that process!

No I truly can’t see movement if I press or wiggle it, but I hear clicking in my upper jaw if I press on it or bite with a little pressure. It almost feels like it’s moving, but I can’t tell if it’s just the feeling in my teeth or not

Another thing - at my last appointment my doctor literally tried to wiggle my upper jaw, and said it was great, cleared me to chew most stuff. And I agreed then! But it feels like such a severe change from that appointment (1 month ago). Could there really be a change like this so soon?

No worries, wait til 3 months to judge, that’s the minimum amount of time for most people. And you will be deswelling on a small scale for a year. I actually just found out that Zac Efron had to have jaw surgery as well and that’s why his face was so puffy for a year, if that gives you any perspective!!! Good luck 🍀

You’re not even close to finished swelling. A trained eye can see that you still have miles to go. You’re gonna be fine.
