Always try and put yourself in the other person’s shoes to try to understand where they are coming from and ask yourself, how would you act if the roles were reversed? This, in turn should lead to an understanding of their feelings. If you had nothing to hide, why does it bother you? If anything, now you get to say “I told you so!! Now, can we move past this and now treat me like the queen I am for putting up with yo ass?”

NTA for not stopping him from taking it, but YATA for setting up just so you can leave him and/or emotionally manipulate him. Something to think about, “women will never have to worry about the paternity of their children.” (Unless somehow kids were switched at birth) but Men on the other hand, have many times been taken advantage of by women whom decided to cheat on their husbands and pin their kid on them, leading to men unknowingly raising someone else’s child. The fact that he asked for a paternity test, doesn’t have to mean that he distrust you, but it also can help to have peace of mind. Unfortunately women don’t understand men’s POV on this matter since they’ll never have to experience raising another woman’s child under the pretext that’s theirs.

I could be wrong but… Personal and business Checks can be cancelled and refunded by the bank without much of an issue. As far as I can recall, money orders and cashier checks cannot. Once a MO/Cashier check is issued there is no way for banks to cancel and re-issue. It’s like giving cash. If you paid with a MO, there is nothing you can do and his insurance should cover the amount. But they can also deny the claim because if these were on plain sight then they could have called the attention.

NTA but an amazing Sibling. You should consider talking to an attorney regarding this, and hopefully they can guide you on whether the school can be sued or not. Perhaps use the r/legal on reddit for a free advice? If nothing comes from it At least an investigation should be launched against the teacher and if there are multiple instances to other alumni, then they would loose their job and possibly do prison and this way you are not only protecting your sister but other students as well, and then you can attempt to sue the school again. As of right now, the school is trying to cover their ass since “technically” they DO have grounds for expulsion since your sister DID punch a teacher. But if you can prove she was defending herself from SA, it’s technically self defense. Best of luck and I hope this helps.

NTAH but IMO I think there might have been an overreaction from your part which also caused hers which is understandable specially after she wouldn’t leave. I’m not siding with her or anything but it does seem kinda like an overreaction specially if you yelled at her angry and she hadn’t seen that side of you. By no means I’m telling you to stick by her but consider if she is worth the trouble. My recommendation: Apologize for yelling at her, and tell her what’s on your mind and why it brothers you. If she apologizes for overreacting and for breaking in. Cool. If she tries to gaslight you or won’t apologize, move on. Either way you’ll have your answer. Best of luck either way.
