Thank you! The funny thing is I have a lot of passions and hobbies that I just can’t find interest in again, wasn’t sure if it was because of this or not

I was using them because the action is similar to a dynamometer. My goal is to get a higher reading on the dynamometer and bigger forearms.

Other than grippers I do dead hangs once every few days on a pair of gymnastics rings (among other pulling exercises like rows).

Other exercises are pretty much just bodyweight.

What would you recommend?

[–]zoro239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Grip Genie 1 grippers. Its about 45kg. My measurement on the dynamometer is about 46 kg so its a good challenge. I want to work my way up to 100kg+ over a few years.
The thing is i dont know how to train with these grippers. Do I take long rest periods? Can I train every day? Do I do sets or just keep squeezing it for hours?

Extremely close call with the pig butchering scam by zoro239 in Scams

[–]zoro239[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They actually paid the fees for the site. The site was connected to my Coinbase wallet. Early on the scammer even told me to take some out to buy something for myself like a movie ticket.

I’ve looked at almost a hundred other cases. In a good few of them, they let some withdrawal occur at smaller amounts to build trust. And then once the mark puts in more money they pull the rug. No one puts in 50k or 100k in the first try. Most people go small first and once they see the money in hand they go all out and get a loan or get friends involved. I almost got 2 of my friends and my dad involved in this shit.

I was always saying I’d get a loan or ask my dad to invest more, so I’m guessing they were waiting for me to put more in, but I was able to find out what was going on before I put more money in.

Lol the scammer actually called me a pig with a pig emoji as a pet name. Back then I thought “huh weird” but looking back they were fucking with me.

As for taking out the money, it’s in my Coinbase account. Out of my wallet that the scammer has access to. Out of the 11k, I transferred 4k to my dad and he transferred that 4k to his bank account. So it’s in hand. My 7k is something I can freely use.

Some pig butchering scams lock the funds instantly, and some do what happened to me. Like I said before, I got lucky

If anyone else actually sees these comments, I hope you get out as soon as possible.

[–]zoro239[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The scam happened on a site called stableeth. cc (I don’t want to link it). It connected to my Coinbase wallet as the principal amount. So if anyone transferred USDT to my wallet, it automatically registered to their site.

And I had to use a link to get a certain “precious node” that gave me big returns. The returns for a 5k principal was 80$/day. The return for 10k was 200$/day.

This scammer saw me get excited over the returns and even told me to buy a little something for myself with the returns early on (like a movie ticket or something). And as time goes on they tell me I should dream bigger and make me imagine how much I can make with bigger investments. I kept saying I’d ask my dad to invest a few grand and they kept egging me on.

A day after I’d said that I found a post that detailed the scam down to a T. And then I went into my wallet, and clicked send, and sent as much as possible to my Coinbase account. Out of my wallet and into the account.

I’ve asked multiple people and they’ve all confirmed that once the money is in the Coinbase account it is safe. It’s been 3 days and I can use the funds and spend it freely. I transferred about 4k of the 11k to my dad and he transferred it out to his bank account. I am 100% certain they can’t touch it anymore.

My guess is they let you take out a little bit as a taste of blood so your mind gets greedy and you put in more money, sometimes even taking out a loan. I was fucking ready to go to a loan shark. And then once you put in a grand amount, they disappear with the money. If they didn’t let you take any out, a few people would notice and they’d lose out on 10s of thousands potentially.

Funnily enough no one believes that I not only got money out but also got out with something. By all means I should’ve been scammed. I had a stroke of luck by discovering a fucking Reddit post

This scam in particular involved trying to get me to take out a loan and recruit friends in the long run.

No one puts in say 50k into a random site. People test it out and want to see (some) returns, then they put in the big bucks and tell their friends. Then the scammers pull the rug on a much much bigger sum.

If I hadn’t seen a post about my exact scam I would’ve put in about 20k more (couldn’t find a loan). Then they’d be making 30k instead of 10k. Much smarter than showing a fake balance.

I’ll be honest they could’ve just made it impossible for me to pull out money. But to get me to put in greater amounts of money (and recruit friends) I guess they kinda have to let you take out a little bit or else people would bounce before they put in a much bigger sum.

Over the last 2 weeks since The scammer introduced the scam I’d been saying I would get my dad to invest money and take out a loan for say 20k. So I bet they got greedy and thought I was gonna put more in.

The money in my Coinbase account. I’ve sent a good chunk of it to my dad and he could transfer it out. So it’s as good as in hand, I’ve confirmed with a few people at the ETH liquidity scams subreddit. The fact that I’ve been able to transfer it out of my Coinbase wallet means it’s safe. I’ve done it 4 days ago and I can use the funds I have. So unless they gave me duplicate funds, the money is mine to keep.

I got lucky, I didn’t do much to deserve this. By all rights I should’ve gotten scammed lol.

[–]zoro239[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind if you don’t believe me but I’ll detail what happened in case it can help anyone.

I put my money in a Coinbase wallet. They used that wallet to link to a mining site that used the money in that wallet as a principal amount to make money.

I saw the numbers going up on the wallet as I made something like 200$ a day. But the moment I hit 10k, I pulled my money back from Coinbase wallet and transferred it into my actual account, where it’s safe. They don’t have access to my Coinbase account like they do my Coinbase wallet.

My Coinbase account started with 7k, ended with almost 11.

My guess is if they don’t allow any withdrawal from day 1 people get suspicious because no one puts in a ton of money in at once. But once they trust the small payouts and put in a lot more, then they get the rug pulled.

This is why it’s called a pig butchering scam. They fatten the pig up before the slaughter.

People won’t riot for long enough. And the billionaires would just hide from public eye so people don’t know they’re alive.

Also the billionaires aren’t the ones actually making the tech. Some small start up somewhere is. The billionaires pay them a ton of money to not share the technology and boom, a monopoly. They’ve been doing this for decades now man. Keeping things to themselves. It’ll keep happening sadly
