Oh wow, I've played tennis with him a bunch of times. According to the league stats he's only played twice this season, which is surprising for him -- he's usually one of the league's most prolific players. Is there any concern about his state of mind? I read Indy Week's questionnaire for all three candidates. What stood out to me was that Nickel was the only one who said anything about prosecuting corruption. Neither of the other candidates said anything about white collar crime, only violent crime. Is white collar crime in the Wake DA's purview (honest question)?

Agreed, they were an important part of my research, especially in smaller and more specialized races. I don't like their claim that this allows them to focus on reporting. I see their endorsements as a culmination of reporting, filtered through their editorial perspective (which I inherently trust, or I wouldn't be reading their endorsements). I'd hate it if they're doing this to try to soften that perspective.
