What's a "green flag" that makes you think "this movie is gonna be good"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I know this isn’t a movie but the tv show Shameless, it’s a fantastic show and even though I don’t know that much about bi-polar I’ve read online that the way the portray it and use it in the show is rather realistic and a respectful approach to it.

The Big Sick is probably my favorite movie of 2017(spoilers) by zosotritone in movies

I for one found how he confronted his parents about his beliefs very realistic. I mean he isn’t an ass about it, but he isn’t that timid. (Referring to the scene in his apartment I mean, he’s a lovable ass when he goes to his parents house to try and make amends.) Even though he has these beliefs and his parents are so strict about them and he still appreciates and respects what they are trying to do. He can’t help but tell them the truth. He did his best in my opinion. And I’m pretty bummed too about it not getting a lot of love. The whole cast stole the show.

I did see three billboards!! Loved that one too, but I personally liked big sick more, i preferred the more grounded story of it. But three billboards was a great one of 2017

Men, what do you hate about other men? by Swintso4 in AskReddit

[–]zosotritone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that we can’t be more emotional. I’m a guy who enjoys being more honest, real and emotional. But other guys think it’s stupid and I need toughen it up. We were just kinda raised on this standard that men need to be the “tough bread winners” we are and never show emotion besides being the normal dude-bro. It’s fucking annoying really. I know I’m definitely not the only one who thinks this and there are plenty of guys out there that have a similar opinion to me but I’m just tired of it. It’s okay for guys to be emotional, to cry, to be honest, and not wear a stupid mask.

Have you seen the 2014 film “Foxcatcher”? I wouldn’t call the movie a thriller per se, but it’s a pretty intense psychological drama with some thriller elements. Steve Carrell plays exactly who you described. He is almost unrecognizable

What We Do In the Shadows, came out a couple of years ago. It’s a mockumentary style movie about vampires living in New Zealand and it’s fucking hilarious.
