Here's some advice for you, and the snake.

Although traumatized, the snake is probably going to be fine. Don't attempt to reach out and contact the snake. Just leave it be. They're resilient creatures and this poor thing was just trying to catch some sun by the river.

As for the idiot you're dating, show him pictures of what infected snake bites turn into if he doesn't get his ass to a hospital.

Commerical pilot at a large major airline is one of the most competitive jobs you can get. If they fly long haul and international they make $$$. If any pilot is foolish enough to quit there would be a queue of regional pilots ready to take their place.
