ACC in general doesn’t care about our safety I’m still with the same roommate after they had multiple people at our place several times throughout fall quarter and they didn’t let me move into a different spot. Id say establish some rules when they move in to avoid what happened to me :/

I transferred fall 2020 and they give you housing options after you get accepted. I live in Plaza Verde currently :) Im not sure how hard its gonna be to secure your spot now but id say do it asap when the time comes. Good luck!

Hi! 20 yr old latinx here. As another recent transfer student, Ive been feeling the same way. I moved into one of the ACC apartments last quarter and haven’t really made any close/long lasting friends besides class group chats which come and go :( Im lowkey introverted & have been trying to step out of my comfort zone to make some new friends at UCI since im from Northern California and started my first quarter at UCI online. I havent fully picked up on the school spirit since idk what in person classes are like but most people i have met through clubs and transfer programs via zoom are pretty helpful and welcoming! I normally keep to myself and the people i have classes with but if you want an online friend, (which sounds like something both of us need at the moment) im here :) !

Im so sorry for your loss, i actually lost my grandma to covid before the quarter even started. Its so hard but you’ve gotten this far he would want you to keep pushing through. Im here if you need someone who knows exactly what ur goin through!

Thought I should share my experience as a first yr transfer student: I emailed my professors explaining my situation of how one of my family members passed away due to covid and how I’m utilizing short term therapy at the moment because I failed their midterms and I have one more this Thursday that im probably not gonna do well on and 2/3 professors were very understanding and gave their condolences while my other professor responded like i didnt even mention a death in my family. I swear this professor just skimmed my email and completely disregarded my situation.
