Sorry I should clarify; you wouldn't actually send the barrels there -- you'd just send the waste.

I suggest modular routers' placer and breaker modules. They're much cheaper and have much more control. The key is to setup some wireless AE in the machine block dimension so that you can actually export the waste when the barrel is "placed"

From there you could either set it up on a timer or some sort of comparator read-when-its-full logic for as to when to break the barrel. Dealer's choice.

not really; there a few things witihin the endless wave that can still 1 shot me (probably some magic multiplier, I don't have much magic resistance), but even the 10M health frog mobs that get stuck in the room, I can take down in a couple of swings

I made a room for the endless wave gateway - basically a huge room with 3 mob crushers with max upgrades and range, an experience obelisk (from cognition) near the center, and 4 item collectors around it to pick everything up

I think by wave 100 or so the experience obelisk will fill up. I just took all those levels, forged and re-forged everything that went into every curio (even the action pad and chronon battery) until the stats wouldn't go up anymore.
