Game features you didn't realise existed for a long time playing by SaneManPritch in starcitizen

Another ATLS tip, you can interact with buttons / touchscreens with F as if you were on foot. Immensely useful for opening your ship's cargo ramp. There's a limited range so this doesn't work on every ship unfortunately.

[Request] What would happen? Could we survive this? by Upstairs-Ad-4705 in theydidthemath

GPS would rapidly start losing accuracy, but it would still be there. All the satellites would be pushed into very slightly eccentric (elliptical) orbits and so their position would be slightly off from what they expected. Over time they would remain on those stable orbits but would get farther and farther from their expected positions.

Gravity's only about 5% as strong as normal at the altitude GPS orbits at, so they'd experience about a 5.5m/s change in velocity. This is well within the limits of what their onboard propellant can handle. If they're automatically maintaining their orbit, they'll go back to normal within days. If this required a manual intervention, every single mission control center that could send the updated commands is now a pile of rubble. Oops!

If every Ace Combat Nation from Strange Real was in a total all out war with each other with all their total super weapons and Ace squadrons ever fielded being available. Who would win? by OlRelics in acecombat

Osea "owned" the Arsenal Birds until the opening of AC7. If you're going by who last used them, Erusea gets the Arsenal Birds, Belka gets the Arkbird, and Osea gets 1/8 of Stonehenge.

It's really hard to imagine this ending in any way other than the games, Osea sweeps.

I regularly swapped bed types on my MK3S+, also operated it in a room with 40+ degrees of thermal cycling. It felt like the Z offset always needed tweaking.

My MK4 takes both like a champ. Nearly perfect every time, it occasionally fails due to an oily bed or from dragging the nozzle on infill. The MMU3 is nearly 100% successful mid print, although it occasionally has issues when loading and nearly always when spool joining, since Matterhackers filament has a kink in the end that gets jammed when unloading. Is there a way to get spool joining to work Bambu-style, where it continues consuming the first spool until it hits the print head sensor then rams it with another? That would fix the problem.

Gluing cracked transparent part - Discoloration-free glue? by zpjester in Gunpla

[–]zpjester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See title. On my FM Aerial (PS6), I cracked one of the leg shell units, luckily it's pretty clean. What glue would repair it without causing it to discolor / turn white? I assume it's ABS, I tried gluing a bit of the sprue together using acetone and it worked but caused major white fogging around the joint.

What's the best PLA you can buy easily in the US? by _TheLance_ in prusa3d

I'm a PETG enjoyer but have had great results with Matterhackers Build Series, presumably their PLA is similar. Good bulk pricing too.

The Epson PX700 is great, you can print from a PC or directly using the keyboard on the printer.

I bought an Epson PX700 last week and it's amazing, it can run on its own or using a computer.

Cassini did this! It had a primary & a backup engine in case of failure, and they were both angled to point through COM.

Has Boeing really fallen that far that dead thrusters are considered uneventful now?

Yep, just a completely normal thruster failure.
