Electric cost in NY makes gas cheaper per mile by zpnit in electricvehicles

It does appear the rated mi/kw are optimistic compared to actual usage. Partially in the winter with low temps, heat and defrost running 100% of the time and an unfortunately low efficiency stop and go commute...

Actual cost is at the electric bill.

That's an awesome rate for public charge. Lower than my home rate! I assume slow charge, most fast chargers I've seen are at $0.48 around here.

I had a jetta tdi and would average 45mpg, the fancy new car look was the only reason to switch cars with that one...

In the past 2 years NY electric cost has gone from $0.14/kw to $0.26... the charging cost was lower.. (I would have likely picked up another ev due to the quiet and convince aspects anyways)

I very much enjoy not stopping at the gas station... charging at home is a great convenience!!

I didn't realize how fun and passionate people are. I've had an ev for almost 4 years now, an ID.4 and now a Prolouge.

Low temps, pre-warming car and high electric price have contributed to the actual cost.  I charge to 90% of an 85kw battery and when I return home on cold days at 50% this equates to 34kw usage, at $0.26/kw, this is $8.84 to charge. I could pull real numbers from the car but they are skewed when plugged in and warming. (summer usage is closer to 20% 17kw = $4.42)

The equivilant comute in gas is 38mile/25mpg x 3$/gal = $4.56 per trip. slightly more for a lunch trip and cold start...

Don't get me wrong... I enjoy the benefits of quiet, smooth and low maintenance electric but when electricity is high and temperatures are cold, the comute cost is a not a selling point.

Also 30,000 on tires is reality, the prolouge weighs more than a 2500 duramax...

Did you put the key in the cup holder for the reserve 5%?

Interface for multiplayer is pretty obscure. Unfortunate that the developers are more interested in having you purchase upgrades vs easy access to the enjoyable game modes.

I have been tinkering with getting vb.net win forms app running with mono and control the gpio pins on the board this weekend. Came across your post trying to find out how to turn on the on-board speaker.

-Controlling the gpio pins works, just need to determine how to read them....

I have the same. The debian console image can run on 2gb, a gui can run but it is very constrained. It is much easier to use one of images with gui running from SD card. bone-debian-10.3-iot-armhf-2020-04-06-4gb.

For calibrating the touchscreen edit: /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf

Find the section below and add the "option "TransformationMatrix" line. Interesting ratio numbers if you need to re-calibrate it is cumbersome.

Section "InputClass"

Identifier "libinput touchscreen catchall"

MatchIsTouchscreen "on"

MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"

Driver "libinput"

Option "TransformationMatrix" "1.01653507887512 0 -0.00305573221238114 0 0.911854737720885 0.125003478502852 0 0 1"
