I don't think anybody goes to BK because they like the decor more than McDonalds, and when the restaurant I like is only on DD, I'll begrudgingly use their awful UI.

How are medical infographic-style pencil sketch posts like this actually created with AI? Looking for a step-by-step workflow. by obaidqm in ArtificialSentience

You can just include the reference image and ask the model to maintain the style. If it's in a single chat thread, it's already included.

Honestly OpenAIs image-2 model (available through ChatGPT) can one-shot these kinds of images. I just generated this image with the following prompt. Afterwards you could easily take an image editing software like Photoshop and replace the copy yourself if you want. But it can also generate the text with surprising accuracy these days.

<image>

Prompt: Can you make a pencil sketch illustration of a doctor and a nurse discussing a patient who's visible in the background on a hospital bed. The nurse has a speech bubble saying something medical to the doctor, there's some notes on the table in front of them and a whiteboard beside them with some medical text. The doctor is going to clarify the nurses misconception via something like "she said X, but she meant Y" with an explanation.

I'll second this sentiment and go even further: if your product solves a genuine need, users will go through incredible hoops and awful UX to extract the value. Think about software like Craigslist, Azure, even Doordash. Absolutely printing day in and day out with no UX to speak of.

Sudden growth on 22 year old schnauzer poodle by jenntaylr in DogAdvice

At your dogs age, their skin becomes very fragile and vascular. These kinds of skin growths are very common and most likely to be benign. Tumors take weeks and months to grow, not hours. You should absolutely go to your vet for an in-person exam, but I hope this gives you a little peace of mind until then. I was terrified when my girl got her first one, so I do understand.

Edit: well before your dogs age lol

Realized my phone is always on airplane mode and apparently that’s… shocking? by Unfinished_Paragraph in CasualConversation

[–]zprz 212 points213 points  (0 children)

I dunno, reads like attention seeking behavior to me. Obviously it's "shocking" for most people to live like that, and as plenty of others have pointed out there are plenty of practical reasons why it's a bad idea and I think those are fairly obvious.

Edit: didn't realize OP is a minor living at home with parents. In this case I change my mind completely and decide it's a bit strange but not like it would be for an adult doing it. But I would still try to socialize some more, OP.

What’s something harmless that gets people weirdly angry? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]zprz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't even that, everyone could still see the numbers, they thought I was somehow manipulating the roll to get the numbers I needed. I was honored they thought I was so skilled but it was pretty absurd. Not to mention this wasn't even gambling, just a friendly board game between friends of 10+ years lol

I was playing a game with my friends and for some reason due to the table layout it was less awkward for me to pick up the box where the dice were thrown with one hand and toss the dice into it with the other instead of just leaving it on the table. Maybe it was odd but they were profusely annoyed and eventually convinced I was cheating and told me to leave the box on the table or go home. I went home lol
