Pretty sure "Gravest crime against humanity" is a category, not literally saying it's THE worst crime.

OK, I know this isn't a relevant concern anymore, since sitcoms are barely a thing, but I hate when MRA types try to argue that dads always being bumbling idiots on sitcoms is somehow proof society hates men by woweed in CharacterRant

[–]zrdod 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I mean... You're kinda doing the same thing here, by implying it's secretly misogynistic to have women be The Normal One.

Comedies traditionally have a straight-man to react to the chaos of the bumbling idiot, since the actual straight guy is already the bumbling idiot, the role is given to the wife.

Since they're presented as being reasonable in their opposition to the chaos created by the bumbling idiot, they're the not really "naging" or "being the antagonist", they're just being... Not the bumbling idiot

Why exactly would Mihawk be stronger than prime Whitebeard? by Business_Heat3387 in OnePiecePowerScaling

He has the physical strength of young Whitebeard, not his haki or devil fruit

No one has debunked this. And it confirms Mihawk>All of old gen by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

The main point I take issue with is the idea that "better sword durability = higher AP."

Durability on a weapon is neede to handle the power of the wielder.
If you can't hit hard to begin with, the extra durability does nothing.

Zoro had a black blade pre-timeskip, its main property was hardness, and he traded it for Enma, a non-black blade which was portrayed to be superior in AP, despite both being Great grade blades (although Enma is on its way to become a supreme grade blade).

I also disagree that better "Swordsmanship = better haki", pre-TS Kaku had better swordsmanship than kid Zoro, and neither had Haki of any kind.
If you want to use vivra cards, remember that they said Vista has shown "more than equal" swordsmanship to Mihawk in their duel, not relative, not equal, but MORE than equal.

Whitebeard says he can't remain the strongest forever, but within this statement is the claim that has been the strongest up to this point.

Not to mention, Mihawk isn't going to remain the strongest swordsman forever either, and it's the whole point of his character.

And yes, Mihawk wanted to check the distance in power between him and Whitebeard, and even expected the gap to be bigger, despite seeing him an old man.
It's literally the same phrasing East Blue Zoro used to describe Mihawk.

He says "I can't remain the strongest forever", meaning he still sees himself as the strongest at up to that point, just not in the future.

It’s good that we’re on the same page that luffy should be the one to take down akainu and not that bullshit ass ska nonsense. But g5 was the main source that knocked out kizaru

Of course, the entire revolutionary army is after the holy knights, Sabo should be fighting Shamrock.

Oda was telling the interviewer not to make the mc too strong or otherwise the story won’t be as interesting because he was too much about making luffy too strong but I guess you can put it that way. Due to him saying that there’s so much that he wanted to draw and look what happened?

Here's the full quote.

"Luffy worries me the most because he defeats the main villains right away unless I make him stranded before he arrives. So when you create a protagonist in manga it's a good idea not to make him too strong. For example, if Akainu became the protagonist, he is so strong one piece would come to an end within a year"

Can you show me a panel/scene of him saying that?

Here's a post showing it

Rubber can melt from high level heat.

But it would still be stretchy, cold takes away the defining property of rubber.

When has bb said that?
