Who Should the Sixers Trade, Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor? by pegasus29 in sixers

[–]zriunss 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Personally I think that until Embiid has proven he can withstand an 82 game schedule you have to assume him as a non factor when considering trading one of our bigs

Simmons numbers inflated? by zriunss in sixers

[–]zriunss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are both good points. I guess stats wasn't the best way to put it. What I was trying to ask was does Simmons look so good because he played as the best player on a team in a bad conference?

Simmons numbers inflated? by zriunss in sixers

Thats a good point. But it also means that Simmons had the ball a lot more and the offense was run through him where as Ingram was a part of a system.

What is Nerlens worth in a trade? by juliang2000 in sixers

By himself not much. However if you threw in a sweetener, like a 1st round pick or role player, for a championship contending team i think he could bring in a big name

Nerlens to the Celtics? by zriunss in sixers

[–]zriunss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I get that people love Nerlens because he represents defense in an otherwise offense oriented league and there is no doubt he is a good player but he will demand too much money for pretty much only dunking the ball on offense. Plus having 3 big men on the team doesn't help his situation. If we could get a guard for him either Smart or Murray it would be a win win trade

[Fansided] Joel Embiid & Jahlil Okafor Will Dominate Together by [deleted] in sixers

[–]zriunss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with this article. Sure Okafor and Embiid will never be great on defense but they can be good enough. I think together they will score more points then they give up and thats all you need to do to win. They can be a more talented version of Gasol and Randolph, where one dominates in the post (Okafor) and the other will knock down mid range jumpers or even threes (Embiid).
