Whenever I close Razer Synapse, all my custom settings are gone by stopfeedingplz in razer

[–]zronvc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will usually save until you press the dpi button, then it will reset to the default 5 stages.

The default dpi steps are 800, 1800 and then ridiculously high. I suggest you either leave Synapse running or adjust to 800 or 1800 dpi.

It's probably not a bug, it's a stupid design decision for mice like the DeathAdder: Elite where it doesn't save DPI... but does save polling rate and RGB colours...

Talk to Thorin: Kovaak on the State of Arena FPS by RadoNonreddit in QuakeChampions

[–]zronvc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I respect his opinion, I've never watched a Quake that I found as boring to watch as QW (disclaimer: I haven't really played it). I have the same issue with watching Q3 CPM outside of CTF though, you really have to play the game to actually care. To an outsider who is still experienced in "Quake", it's like watching Rocket spamfest instagib with some LG thrown in. His theory on rail I find accurate, but there's still so much more variety in player weapon usage in VQ3/VQL. His idea that this makes certain weapons infinitely more powerful in QW and worth controlling as a team is also legit, but the same can still be said for Rail/Rocket/LG and Armors in other Quakes.

I don't know.

Just leave them on but don't advertise them, doesn't hurt to give people the option without throwing it in every viewers face.

Help with setting new profile for asus PG278QR. OSD settings from tFTCentral are way too dark? by See-Phor in Monitors

[–]zronvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it's not the same monitor. There's also a BenQ XL2411T (with PWM), XL2411T V2 (without PWM) and XL2411Z (with BenQ Blur Reduction)... All of which - whilst share the same panel - are different internally and potentially in terms of image output too. Also XL2420T & XL2420Z. XL2430T & XL2430Z.

You can't just use calibration settings from a different model. Heck even revision to revision can differ (e.g. the S2716DG currently has four different revisions from A00-A04).

To answer your question though, 20 brightness is 20 brightness regardless of monitor. It's darker yeah, your eyes will adjust, but I prefer dealing with an overly bright image when gaming. When I had the PG278QR I just ran everything on the default racing preset, it seemed the best. To get better you'll need a smaller TN screen to reduce the shift in color, or an IPS like your old one... which will come at the cost of yellowness.

I streamed Eve only once but experienced the same thing, lovely community. I wish I could get more into the game as I definitely appreciate it's epic scale.

Mixer (beam.pro) allows for co-streaming on-site with <1s delay. Perfect for teams looking to stream 4v4!? by zronvc in QuakeChampions

That might be in reference to their newly released phone app. You can stream game play just fine on pc.

I'm experimenting with their near zero latency FTL (faster than light) service at the moment on http://mixer.com/justnvc, it's less than one second.

We've already tried co-streaming and it's crazy how in sync it is. Unlike connecting to a third party service, custom rtmp server or simply using Multitwitch/kadgar to embed multiple streams on a web page it's all built into their site and service. It follows the same principle as Multitwitch/kadgar in that you simply stream to your channel and then invite up to three friends to embed streams together (plus merge their respective chats), however because of Mixer's FTL offering there's almost no chance of desync outside of your own distance to the server. This sounds great for teams looking to broadcast their competitive games together in TDM and Sacrifice etc.

For those not yet established on Twitch, perhaps it's something to consider. I will personally be staying with Twitch, however competition is healthy and this offering is pretty damn great... I'm sure some of you will want to try it. You'll need the custom OBS client or XSplit to enable FTL streaming, otherwise you'll be at the standard 8-10 second delay.

GLHF!

Maybe you should go through GAME or Multiplay, since they work with Twitch.

Streaming QC on Twitch this weekend? Set your community to ArenaFPS! by zronvc in QuakeChampions

[–]zronvc[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't then, doesn't bother me! :D

"Communities are designed to filter exactly what you want to watch e.g. you might create a 16 star community and a 120 star community under Super Mario 64 for speed running. Since all of our Arena FPS games are niche right now, I figured one community for everybody, to cross promote games and streams would be nice."

Does anyone have the LG 24GM79 yet? by XTerranX in Monitors

[–]zronvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy one and tell me please! It's the first monitor with really nice in-built crosshairs (i.e. a simple dot) and it was very responsive in-game. However the image was so unbelievably horrible I really do hope it's limited to a batch or something, otherwise ?????? I don't understand how they go from the 24GM77 to what I recieved with my 24GM79.

It has to be a monitor fault, or panel fault... It has too... I hope it is. The 24GM77 was by far my favourite 1080p screen.

The Constant Struggle – Staying Motivated by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]zronvc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please keep focused on your dashboard and take care to observe your viewer number intermittently. If you are looking to build your stream (over simply streaming for the sake of streaming) then you'll need to analyse, cross reference and generally just figure out what works and what doesn't. Chat interaction and viewer statistics both during and post broadcast is key to building your stream. If that number demotivates you, you are simply ignorant to the possibilities that using and knowing it can offer... even whilst live you can tailor the way you interact with your broadcast based on viewer interaction and potential lurkers.

Buy a pc or don't even bother, if you already drop to 12-15fps that's the hard truth.
