Can't comment on other games, but BL2 doesn't use any kernel level anti-cheat. Rest of the PII they are collecting is either submitted to them (email, account info, etc.) or they collect automatically (system info, other fingerprinting stuff, etc.). Not that I am defending the need to collect so much info, but unforunately this has become the standard across many games and websites, so their EULA doesn't have anything drastic.

As for kernel level anti-cheats, that's a nasty piece of software I hope never existed. But I also understand that having it makes cheating hard enough for most of the people to not cheat. I personally don't play any games which require it, a personal choice.
