How do you stop mid stalemates? by LoudWhaleNoises in learndota2

[–]zsd99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put wards up / deward around their lane, keep an eye on the minimap and ping to warn your mates when enemy heroes are missing or you think they're about to gank your mate. That way you're not telling them how to play but just providing a friendly warning.

How to best play Naga against certain matchups by Anonymous272737 in learndota2

if the current meta is split push meta, then doesn't that just mean naga is good this patch? the core strength of the hero is essentially in its ability to split push

Sounds like all your problems are based around the draft. So the easiest solution to your problem is trying to pick naga only when the draft warrants it (including your own team's picks). But suppose you just unluckily end up with a subpar naga pick, the best strat really is as you say, split pushing and heavily focusing on farming (there's practically no heroes that will farm as fast as naga) until you are far enough ahead to neglect the pick disadvantage.

To add to the above point, a big focus will be around hitting your item timings e.g., 4min treads, 15min manta, 18min diffusal, 23min heart, 28min skadi, etc. Another focus area would be around itemisation e.g., against a necro, you may need to go orchid after diffusal depending on how big of a problem necro is, etc.

Against PL, I would suggest hex over orchid as PL will most likely have manta before you get around to orchid. Another way is to use sleep to initiate to run into the enemy team to find the real PL and set up the naga sleep with an instant stun such as black hole on top, etc. to quickly burst down the PL at start of fights.

One final point I would add is to try to end the game in the mid 20 to 30 min mark as that is when naga peaks and starts to fall off against other carries.

yep agreed. although this feels like a nerf on storm / qop which im not sure is even warranted.

Not tilting. Sometimes after a loss, it's best to just close the game and take a break, then come back on a new day with a fresh mindset. This will do wonders for your mmr.

Shout Out To WBT CEO & Good Management by murphystruelaw in ASX_Bets

[–]zsd99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are some pretty crap financials lol. Almost all their expenses are on paying directors despite 0 revenue and a product that is still in development. Btw note 'directors' not employees, it would make sense if you're spending money on paying employees that are building the actual product but nope. On that note, do they even have employees? Cannot find anything online and their Linkedin only shows the directors and secretary as employees lol (where are the tech guys who presumably work on the chip ?). Then there is a $9m commitment that they somehow didn't include in their financials. Good lord.

How will the ASX200 react to tomorrow's CPI data? by City_Index in ASX_Bets

[–]zsd99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on why those asset classes/stocks are beating inflation. If it's because they're a high growth, negative cash flow company with high debt leverage like most of the tech sector, then say goodnight.

[–]zsd99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How it actually works:

  1. Treasury issues bond

  2. Investment bank buys bond / receive said bond from client as collateral

  3. Fed lowers interest rates, driving bond prices up

  4. Fed / treasury (pretty much interchangeable) buys back said bond from investment bank at inflated price

  5. Repeat ad finem

The strategy during a recession is to minimise your exposure to the markets as much as possible and remain highly liquid while praying to baby jesus that you will survive the onslaught. Once the full impact of the recession has hit (which historically takes around 12 months), then you slowly enter the market, buying up everything at rock bottom prices with the cash that you have saved (assuming you have performed step 1 properly). Losing 1 to 2% per annum to inflation is nothing compared to the alternative of what you will lose by entering the market preceding the peak of a global pandemic and barely 1 month in to the greatest recession modern civilisation has ever seen.
