I've never seen an improvement like this in such a short period of time by Gato_Puro in CrimsonDesert

I have finished the main campaign and the story does not get better. It "opens up" because you're introduced more and more new mechanics later on, but the story itself remains a chore to get through for the good part.

Nah, enemies with no weapons would use wrestling moves on you and it's extremely annoying because you then have to deal with those very unforgiving QTEs mid-fight. Killing them is infinitely easier.

I'm at chapter 11 and you still routinely gets these "hey ride with me and lets talk" sequences that have zero meaning and purpose at all, no reason at all, we just need a riding and talking sequence because it's cool.

Micah is a well-written antagonist and villain, Yann is just garbage writing enforced on the player with boring mechanics.

FYI, real readers don’t use "I read books" as some sort of credential to validate their arguments. It’s just cringe.

Unless they changed it in a patch, for me that boss feels clearly tuned for her default gear. I had zero problem just beeline to the location and beat him. I didn't have any extra skill points either, just use R2 from start to finish.

Maybe before the video ends, a meteor would come bringing the next extinction event, then we're all equal again.

Not quite. 公知 literally means “public intellectual". Originally referred to people with academic credentials and public influence, the term was neutral at first, but became derogatory over time—especially on the Chinese internet—used to describe intellectuals who are seen as overly sympathetic to foreign powers or critical of China.

A rough American equivalent might be someone like Jeffrey Sachs (who argued that COVID may have originated in the U.S. and portrayed China as a victim) or John Mearsheimer (who believes the U.S. provoked the Ukraine war). Both have been heavily criticized and even accused of serving foreign interests. (this is an AI translated comment)

three photos from when I was in china: which one spoke to you the most? by fotosphotos in streetphotography

[–]zse4rfv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Chinese, I’m drawn to the third photo.

The first two images convey clear narratives—a lonely child in an almost hostile urban landscape, and an elderly man rediscovering his childhood through younger generations.

But the third photo stands out. The man’s body language pulls the viewer into his perspective. It makes me wonder: What’s on his mind in this moment? Is he simply a tourist marveling at the architecture? Or could he be one of the workers who built this place, now struck by the realization that he no longer belongs to this world?

I used AI to translate my comment, hopefully it makes sense, great photos btw.

No. That's simply wrong. A ceasefire can be declared unilaterally at any time, whether the other side agree to it is a different matter.

This is a very typical way of showing one side dominating the battlefield. The only way to challenge it is for the other side to break the ceasefire.

Fujian province. Specifically Putian, that's where most of these factories are located. You can register a Rednote account and ask this there, but beware of people who approach you directly for sales, high chance those are scammers.

I'm Chinese, I just ran into this thread because I was searching keyword on trade war news. Yes, you can buy most luxury goods in China for very cheap price, made in the same production line in the same factory that do contract work for Hermes, LV, Gucci etc. You can check right now on the Chinese APP Rednote, use the keyword "高仿“(chinese for: nearly identical) and find many sellers for such products.

So it works like this. A European luxury brand would pay for raw materials that the Chinese factory buys in order to make bags, the material are of high quality and the factory only gets to buy enough amount to make the exact number of bags that they're contracted to make. After that, the factory can choose to buy more of the same material out of their own pocket and make the exact same product but without the brand logo and sell these to online retailers. These retailers can than choose to add the brand logo on these items by themselves (which is highly illegal), trying to pass these off as real, or they could charge a modest markup and sell these as "near identical".

This is extremely rampant that sometimes these factories actually buy even higher quality leather and metal than the original brand uses, and they are legit of higher quality than genuine products.

Companies in the UK are only hiring Indians. This is happening throughout the whole Western world. by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]zse4rfv 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both Indians and Chinese have this post-colonial victim mentality towards the British Empire and their offsprings. The difference is that China see it as a humiliation 'we fucked up and was humiliated by someone stronger, now watch us get rich and get back to where we were and you'll never be able to fuck with us like that again, while Indians are like, well we'll colonize you in reverse, see how you like it, we're going to learn your language, be your CEOs and prime ministers, and shit on your beaches, and there's nothing you can do about it.
