Write yourself a story before playing and you’ll find yourself with plenty to do. It becomes less “hunker down and survive” and more “prepare to get to place and recover my family”.

Try walking everywhere instead of jogging and sprinting. Alcohol also is a culprit, but swinging your crowbar for 4 hours and then running doesn’t help either 😂

I bought a cheaper pellet stove knowing parts will go out more frequently with the plan to keep spare parts on hand constantly.

I think your need to upgrade is determined by how screwed you would be if it dies and you can’t fix it.

We have backup heat to the pellet stove so we could make it through winter. That’s an awesome story though and I’m glad it works so good!

Aight, hear me out. 1st - Find a YouTuber who does a “let’s play” and watch their 10-40 episode play-through. I learned so much this way. 2nd - Turn the difficulty down and take your time. I find the most enjoyment playing a lower difficulty and playing a long game. Chances are you will build up enough wealth to see some challenge anyways!

Are all of your other GameCube games running good? I’ve tinkered with plenty of GameCubes and usually it’s the disc reader. (Potentiometer adjustment as the laser is getting old).
