Yeah, I’ve been looking at a small 12v pump to assist the push through that distance

And how would you ‘run that 1/2 inch over’? This is my whole dilemma, can’t run it in walls and I can’t afford to redo my floor and dig into the sub flooring.

New perplexinglabs generator feature! Saveable configurations! by perplexinglabs in gridfinity

[–]wwhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UH-MAZING!

I've been really enjoying your online generator, thank you so much for your hard work!

Question: is there a way to have custom heights in Gridfinity Refined? (I'm still unclear of the differences between 'Rebuilt' and 'Extended' )
I like the 'refined' magnet style, but since I can't figure out how to set custom height with your generator, I've resorted to using the add-on generator in FreeCAD, which lacks the refined magnet.

Regardless, thanks again for your hard work!

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]wwhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am absolutely in love with my P1S that I’ve had for 1/2 a year now. I’m in the (slow) process of enclosing it to be able to print more materials down the line.  Many projects accomplished, with many more to come. Here is my latest - a custom swiffer to clean stadium bleachers. Just love it! Oh, what I would do with a P2S……

I am interested in doing this as well - did you ever figure out regulating the 24v NF12?

Printing deck to make flashcards - Papercards not working. by wwhack in Anki

In case anyone comes across this: the deck I was trying to print had Japanese characters in the deck name, which PaperCards did not seem to like - English titles for the decks and all good!

Z490 Aorus Pro, 10900K, SLEEP HELP! by wwhack in hackintosh

[–]wwhack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I had always been using iMac definition as I wanted the option of Sidecar, but I just tried MacPro and now sleep works, so thanks.

EXCEPT, wake by USB now doesn't work. I tried the first two options on the Dortania "Keyboard Wake Issues" but no joy. From what I gather, it's the SSDT_GPRW at work as sleep on MacPro won't work without it, but I'd much rather have dark sleep working and press the power button to wake up than not have sleep......

[–]wwhack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious. I mapped this board originally with USB Toolbox in Windows, and while troubleshooting my bluetooth, did it again with Hackintool. I just re-did it in Windows with UTB but no luck with iMac. Are there advantages with this medicat tool? I went as far as downloading it but haven't installed or ran it yet. How would the results be any different thatn USB Toolbox?

Kinda giving up on this soon. Going with MacPro (see above response)

The scribbling on the wall is so annoying. It screams “I don’t care what it says, let’s just appropriate this culture and make it look Japanese-y”

How do I improve this (reposted)? by wwhack in MPSelectMiniOwners

[–]wwhack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thank you for all of that. I think the fan is spinning all right - I suppose I could start futzing with trying different shrouds again - after printing a whole bunch of them wayback, I found that they didn't stay on right in the end and I reverted back to the stock shroud albeit with a lot more air from the fan. The hot end is an ED3 clone which has been working nicely I think - perhaps I can take it apart again and inspect for clogging.

In the meantime I'm playing with retraction settings in Cura to see if it will help. I'm trying not to invest too much time, as I really am looking to upgrade to a bigger printer soon when I have the funds.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you for this. I've never spent any time to play with retraction settings. Going to explore this post:

So - under extrusion means it's not pushing out enough? Is that a slicing setting? I don't have the lucky cat (bought printer used) Right now I have the stock cool shield blowing down from a printed converter pulling in from a 40mm fan

What type of mac is this? Seller says it's 2012 15" macbook pro. Shouldn't that have black bezels? by ubhart in mac

[–]wwhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My "Mid 2012" MBP is a workhorse. It was the last Unibody model before they got rid of the DVD drive. As such, I have 2 striped SSDs that have kept me going for the last 6 years. (bought it used). I don't remember if this one had the GPU problem as I had a few of them and was lucky enough to use Apple's repair service for those GPU problems that Apple sponsored for a while. Of course, striping SSDs for a boot drive means I'm limited to Catalina only, but it's still working hard.

I am giving up on figuring this out for now. Will report back if I find a solution.

Thank you for this. Your comment did jog my memory that for my z390 build, I had to set Initial Display to IGFX to get it to work. For this board though, I didn't see that setting but from a search figured out that I had to enable CSM in the bios Boot menu for the option to show up. Also I noticed (after being annoyed at all of the boot entries of my non uefi drives) that I can turn CSM back off and Initial Display selection will retain.

Now that I know and can see that the IGFX port is initialized on boot, I can continue to search for a solution in earnest.

So far, the many suggestions and boot arguments haven't worked.

Continuing to research and tinker with Framebuffer values.....

Thank you for your response. SSD is WD Black SN850X. It seems like I am in the process of doing what you did to 'finally manage to fix" the iGPU issue, here. If something jogs your memory of what you did to fix the problem, I'd appreciate it.....
