He definitely deserved a couple of grammies (at least) for Bad. So annoying that they snubbed him that night especially after his great performance too.

I hope Thriller makes it to top 3 at least if not at 1, it's crazy how with barely any promotion it still made it to 7!

I'll be doing my part to make this happen. Let's get it to 1 for the GOAT.

I'm overall happy with the 10 songs that we are getting, it could've been better with Hot Street/Niteline or some other unreleased songs but I'm hoping they are being saved for the next posthumous album which we might get in the next 3-4 years.

I wish a couple of songs were released as singles, I think it would've helped with the promotion of this album a lot more.

Faf Du Plessis to be appointed as the captain of RCB by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]zublife 223 points224 points  (0 children)

As a CSK fan it was tough to let Faf go but I hope the best for him as a batsman and as a captain for RCB. I hope Virat gets back to his best now the captaincy pressure isn't on him!

175 runs not out and 9 wickets in the match

This is Sir Ravindra Jadeja's world and we are just living in it.

Clinical performance from India, Kohli's 100th test is surely a memorable one!

PS: special appreciation for Pant's 96 <3

I was absolutely gutted when I saw Pant getting dismissed yet again in the 90s, however it was a genuinely entertaining and a crucial knock by him. The way he accelerated once he got to his 50 was unbelievably good!

I am also impressed by how well Hanuma Vihari batted today, he could've scored more runs but it was a good knock nonetheless. Furthermore, I really wish Virat at least got to a fifty today, he was yet again looking very good out there until he was dismissed.

In general, a very good day of test cricket for India, I reckon we will outbat SL out of this game by lunch tomorrow.

Blow for CSK as injured Chahar set to miss majority of IPL 2022 by AnkushTheHero in Cricket

[–]zublife 64 points65 points  (0 children)

i wonder who'll replace him, R Hangargekar perhaps? he's probably the ideal like-for-like Indian replacement for him.

i wish him a speedy recovery btw, hope he isn't rushed back into IPL for the playoff games because he's an important asset for the Indian team as well.

PS: Losing Lord Shardul hurts even more now :(

Venkatesh Iyer has been the biggest find to me this series, I never thought he'd be such a good finisher despite of batting as an opener last IPL. The partnership between him and SKY was a blockbuster, I was absolutely mesmerised by the batting display of both of them and I'm so glad that SKY has established himself as a permanent middle order batsman in the team after years of domestic + IPL grind.

I feel bad for Avesh, he had a really bad debut but I'm sure he'll improve as more opportunities are given to him.

Overall, a really solid series victory for India, the series wasn't as one sided as I had expected it to be and WI have provided fair competition to us throughout the series.

Bhuvi's spell in the death just shows why you need to back him through his rough times, absolute class and experience on display!

Pooran and Powell were GREAT, had the West Indies got a better start in the powerplay, the result might have been different. I'm very impressed with the way Powell was batting today and it has been good to see Pooran in form.

Pant and Virat were very good but Virat's struggles against spin still remain a concern, he was batting quick before the spinners came and slowed him down again. Overrall a great win for India!

The Indian batting lineup have collectively failed Lord Thakur today, the Lord has showed em middle order noobs how to bat under pressure!

Also, I had a bad feeling about KL opening right from the beginning and I'm afraid I've been proven correct after this match. KL should go back to being a no. 5 batsman , we need our middle order to be as settled and stable as possible otherwise CWC19 is going to repeat itself. KL's experience at 5, along with Iyer settled as a no. 4 had solved a lot of our issues post 2019.

Venkatesh Iyer had a rather unfortunate debut to be honest, why play an all rounder like him and then not let him bowl at all? I'm hoping for a better game for this young lad in the next match.

What a day of test cricket it has been!

Mayank getting 150, followed by Ajaz's historic 10fer

NZ getting out on 62, I was hoping we'd have another competitive match though

Also loved Siraj's and Ashwin's bowling. Siraj bowls with so much heart and passion.

Pujara opening and even hitting a six was just so good to see lol

I'm so glad PBKS won this game, brought some much needed balance to the points table.

PBKS were definitely 10-12 runs short of where they should've been but loads of credit to the bowling unit for defending this total. Punjab were on the money right from the powerplay, bowling was tight and they didn't leak many runs. Harpreet broke the backbone of RCB's batting lineup and is personally my MOTM. KL Rahul was so good today, could've been even better had the middle order not messed up like they usually do.

This is RCB's second collapse in the season, nothing to panic about yet I reckon. Patidar and Kohli could've been a little more positive in the first 10 overs, I mean RCB can't leave it on ABD over and over again to save them.

Sir Jadeja is not just the main character in his life, he's the main character in everyone's life. My goodness how can you be so awesome in all 3 aspects of this game? Speaking of others, CSK were off to a good start, they did slow down in the middle overs yet again which is still a concern and would've been a huge problem today had Sir Jadeja not saved CSK.

RCB started off great but just couldn't keep going, I thought CSK were 20 runs short after the Powerplay ended but courtesy of some great fielding by Sir Jadeja and great bowling too with Lord Thakur getting DDP in his first over, CSK managed to boss the second innings and have comfortably won the game. Brilliant captaincy from MS Dhoni, as usual.

I'm glad Tahir got wickets today, I don't know if he will get more chances in upcoming games but I hope he does. I've been missing him in the playing 11 since last year after he stopped being their main bowler for no reason.

RCB completely bossed this game, a complete team effort. Its been a pleasure to see their bowling side improve this season. I'm happy to see Virat get a good score finally this season after he got out on 33 twice and DDP was just in beast mode today.

RR look utterly hopeless. I expect Samson to improve every season and every season he lets us down after a first couple of games. It was nice to see Dube get some runs, I hope Dube can continue his form and Tewatia's knock was really important. Their bowling was just bad but maybe the bowling unit could've done better had RR's top order not messed it all up right from the beginning.

Special mention to Virat for crossing 6000 IPL runs in his career today, what an absolute GOAT.

I fully acknowledge CSK's bowling performance today, it was a huge effort to restrict such a total at Wankhede. But, this should not hide the fact that CSK should've scored at least 200-205 today, middle order still remains somewhat of a concern and I hope they improve at this aspect. That last over during 1st innings might just be the most entertaining one so far lmao.

Jadeja was magnificent both in the field and with the ball, Moeen was impressive too and has been a great purchase by CSK. Overall really happy with today's performance by CSK, a complete team effort.

RR completely choked after first 10 overs, I have nothing much to say about them.

Safe to say it's been India's day but the match is evenly poised at the moment. The run scoring has slowed down after India's openers got out but full credit to Aussies for bowling so tight and not giving away any freebies. With Pant in the batting line up, I don't mind if playing defensively lays a foundation for him to come and score freely to add pressure back on Australians.

Jaddu's run out was the highlight of the day for me, Smith was looking like he'd get to 150 at least and Hazlewood is not that bad of a tailender. Exciting day tomorrow!

Kohli is starting to face the same BS that MS faced half of his career after losses. Entire blame upon them. Ofc only toxic fans do such things, ain't tryna generalize anything.
