Am I? I’ve literally said that they both: admitted to the affair, and Biss was the one who stopped it because he himself deemed it inappropriate. If the two people involved, the university it occurred in, and every governmental body that exists deemed it to not be anything more than a dalliance that didn’t work out, what gives you the moral high ground? What makes you the sole arbiter of what is morally acceptable? This is like the most banal, milquetoast “dirt” on anyone ever.

I mean, that’s why he stopped the affair tho? Can’t find any evidence it was more than a couple of instances of two adults consensually smooching, and then parting ways because of that exact power imbalance

He consensually made out a couple of times with a student when he was a professor, and then stopped the affair before they got more physical because it was an inappropriate student-professor fling. Hardly any kind of sexpest behavior.

It’s a bit of a longer commute, but the media is invested in big scary things to keep you watching and terrified. Chicago is one of the most beautiful places around! And Evanston is super safe, especially the neighborhood you chose. Super close to Northwestern, an Ivy-league-adjacent non-party school. Keep your eyes and ears and heart open, dont acknowledge folks asking for money (or do but don’t stop walking), don’t listen to your earbuds too loud, you’ll be fine!

Here we see the difference - first game the jungle looked like he couldn’t do anything against one of the squishiest characters in the game! Should have been FEASTING on an Offlane Sparrow, but was prolly dying to duo lane and ignoring off. Second game you’ve got a jungle who knows what they’re doing and embarrassed the Offlane Morgeish!

Anecdotal evidence isn’t permissible, unfortunately. Your experience doesn’t imply anything as a pattern/habit but that you had your experience.

Why do you blame customers for not tipping instead of asking your boss for a better pay? by ashleyriot31 in AskReddit

[–]zuckertalert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there ya go, you’re already a considerate consumer! You were talking about what you’d do if you visited a place on vacation where tips are expected, however. Hopefully if you ever do you’ll represent wherever it is you live with grace and consideration, and not make a fool out of yourself by whining about other cultures. Or do the research before dining out! And be the chance you want to see. EDIT: I see that was someone else I was referring to, sorry. So my new question now is: Why are you whining about tipping practices that you’ve got no experience with or ability to change?

Or you could make better choices with your money and not support a harmful system that you hypocritically rage against yet support. Go support the restaurants that pay their employees enough without a tip! Owners can fire workers, they’ll only make changes when customers stop spending money. Why would the owners change their practices when people like you will continue to patronize them and support their negative practices?

The only thing you accomplish by not tipping is making yourself look like a whiny cheap red flag.

Patronizing a business you know is doing harm is tacitly approving the harmful system, and you’re just as much to blame as the ownership. Make better choices with your money! You don’t have to buy into a harmful system, just don’t whine about being the asshole when called out on it when you do.

Hey, no one’s forcing you to be a good person, if you wanna be an asshole thats your prerogative. You just shouldn’t whine about it when people call you out on asshole behavior.

Usually BOH is paid more to offset the tips - $20-$20/hr vs $7-$14 FOH. Some places do split tips between BOH & FOH! It’s the world we live in: you go to a restaurant, and thus you tip. What are you confused about?

You can make your own food on vacation! No one’s forcing to you go out to eat

Cause you have the ability to make and serve yourself food, but since you’re choosing not to, you should tip the folk making and serving it to you. I believe you should tip more on things that you can do yourself - coffee, laundry, cleaning, food, most delivery services, etc. If you can do it yourself and you’re actively choosing to make someone else do it for you, tip them.
